Established in 2002, Sue Greenwood Fine Art (SGFA) is one of Southern California's most respected contemporary fine art galleries. The gallery seeks to exhibit artists that exemplify aesthetic excellence with a focus on realism and figurative works of art. SGFA represents thirty-five highly refined and distinctive emerging and mid-career artists from across the United States. As the Director, Sue is responsible for the management, branding and sales of thirty five artists by curating monthly exhibitions in-house as well as organizing outside solo and group shows, participation in art fairs, personal art advising for private and corporate collections, educational lectures and everything else imaginable that goes into running a fine art gallery.

Sue held previous positions at Diane Nelson Fine Art, Daniel Fine Art, Art Resource Group, and The Bowers Museum of Cultural Art.

Karen McGuire is the Curator of Exhibitions for the City of Carlsbad’s William D. Cannon Art Gallery in the Library & Cultural Arts Department and has been in that position since 1999. Before she worked for the city, she was Gallery Director and teacher at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo in Orange County, curating exhibitions and teaching Art History and Gallery Professional Practices.

Karen’s passion was always in the visual arts. She was an art maker (got her first art set in Kindergarten!) and studio art major throughout high school and during her first years in college. Eventually, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History, and a Master of Arts Degree in Art with an emphasis on Exhibition Design and Museum Studies at California State University, Fullerton. She was invited to become the Gallery Director at Saddleback College while still in graduate School and went to work in the field immediately after graduating.

For more than 20 years, McGuire has curated and organized more than 100 exhibitions – including thematic, historical, and contemporary art exhibitions, with a focus on artists of Southern California.
