“A Sight for Sore Eyes”
October 10th 2016- January 1st 2017
NAWA Online Gallery Exhibition

 

“A Sight for Sore Eyes”
…a remembrance of someone you are happy to see or something pleasing or refreshing to the eye.  It is up to you to interpret your sight for sore eyes!

AWARD Winner
One artist will be selected as the award winner and will have their own gallery page on www.nawaonlinegallery.org.  In this gallery, the award winning artist will be able to include 10 images of her works, her Bio / Artists Statement and links to her website.

EXHIBITION ELIGIBILITY:
•    Open to all NAWA members and to professional women artists’ non-members over 18 years of age.
•    All works will be juried by online digital images only.  No physical entry.
•    For a spectrum of diversity - all types of mediums and sizes will be accepted.
•    Nudes are acceptable. Graphic violence and/or lewd sexual content prohibited.

SALES:
•    NAWA receives 30% commission on sales artist will receive 70%.
•    Price of entered work cannot be changed.
•    Artists are responsible for all shipping charges to the buyer of the work(s).

ENTRY PROCEDURE:  Entries will not be accepted by U.S. Mail or by email.
•    Entrants must register on online ONLY at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com.
•    Non-refundable entry fee is payable by credit card/PayPal through www.OnlineJuriedShows.com.  All entries must be paid by the entry deadline.
•    N.A.W.A. Members: $35.00 for the first 1-2 images.  You can enter 3 additional entries, for a maximum of 5, for $5.00 each.
•    Non-Members: $45.00 for the first 1-2 images. You can enter 3 additional entries, for a maximum of 5, for $5.00 each.
•    Entry form must be filled out in its entirety, including unframed dimensions (or size), framed dimensions (if not known, estimate it) or weight, medium, and price, if requested.  List sizes up to the nearest half inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.
•    For best results, before uploading, make sure your image(s) is under 4MB (the system will not take anything larger) because it will automatically resize the image to 1920 pixels @72 dpi on the longest side.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at: www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx.  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please email

CALENDAR CHECKLIST:
September 30, 2016:  Online submission entry deadline: When deadline is reached the competition is automatically closed to submissions in the www.OnlineJuriedShows.com program.
October 1st, 2016:  Notification of accepted artists and award winners will be e-blasted to NAWA members & listed on both NAWA websites and also will be listed on our Facebook page.
October 10, 2016:  Show opens online.

Entry Agreement
The entry payment will serve as the entrant’s agreement to all conditions (including the waiver) set forth in this prospectus.  Entries will be disqualified for failure to follow these instructions.
Notice: Submitting works of art is no guarantee that the applicant will be accepted into this exhibition.

Waiver Online Exhibition

I, the undersigned artist, hereby declare my intention to exhibit my artwork, as described in my entry form, in the National Association of Women Artists, Inc., online exhibition.

In consideration of the display of my artworks, I hereby declare I am the owner and creator of the original artwork being submitted by me, both as the artwork’s physical manifestation, and the copyright of artwork and that I have the sole right to permit an online digital exhibition of the work for the time period so indicated herein.  I indemnify and hold NAWA harmless from any state of facts to the contrary, including attorney’s fees.  I accept full responsibility for any and all damages, loss, theft, and /or any other casualty of any kind while any portion of the work or the work’s digital representation is in NAWA’s care, custody and/or possession. I hereby waive any and all claims of any kind including any claim for third party copyright infringement as a result of the Online Exhibition against NAWA as well as their employees, officers, directors, and committee personnel. Nevertheless, for the purpose of this agreement, I agree that the stated value for each work of art exhibited shall be One ($1.00) Dollar in the event of any loss or damage to the such piece of artwork.  I agree to allow an image of my artwork(s) being exhibited to be used, without charge, for advertising and/or promotion in the furtherance of the Online Exhibition, NAWA and/or for any purposes including without limitation traditional media, social media, website as well as public relations, prior to, during and/or after the Exhibition.

Point of release clause: the work(s) on exhibition are considered part of the exhibition from the submission of online entry till close of online exhibition as stated in the prospectus.

NAWA retains the right of discretion to decide if artworks do not meet the requirements of our show standards, or contain any inflammatory or offensive materials.

In the event of a dispute with regard to this Waiver Agreement, we agree that all disputes must be adjudicated in a State Court in the County, City and State of New York [i.e., Manhattan] under the Laws of the State of New York, without regard to Choice of Law rules.
 
Note:  The use of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc.’s logo, without prior written permission is prohibited.  The use of the registered Trademark Seal and the logo of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc. for any personal or business use on any documents, postcards, invitations, and other promotional materials and communications is a violation of law.

The letters NAWA may be used by regular juried members (i.e., not Associate or Student members), after their names, on all artworks, signifying their membership.
