QUALIFICATIONS
|
All CAC Members – Signature Artist, Artist,
Out-of-State, Mentor Program, Associate Artist, and Student Artist Members of the California Art Club.

SUBJECT MATTER
|
We are looking for paintings done en plein air. We hope this exhibition celebrates California Art Club's tradition of Plein Air painting and the love of the light and color. We encourage artists to submit any artwork that is done in the tradition of California Impressionism. Paintings done across the U.S.A. and abroad are eligible to be submitted for this exhibition. The artwork submissions can include landscapes, seascapes, urban landscapes, portraits, figures, wildlife, still-life, etc.

MEDIUM & DIMENSIONS
|
Only original paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic will be accepted
There are no specific size requirements for this exhibition.

COMMISSION
|
60% Artist; 20% Millard Sheets Art Center;
20% California Art Club
All artwork MUST be for sale

HOW TO APPLY
|
Please submit artwork for The Plein Air Perspective to Online Juried Shows. You may submit up to 6 paintings.
|
ENTRY FEE
|
Please pay by credit card through Online Juried Shows. The first image you submit is $35, and each additional image is $10.
|
NOTIFICATIONS
|
Notifications will be sent to artists via email on or about September 30th.
|
ARTWORK DROP-OFF
|
Sunday, October 16, 2016; 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
and
Monday, October 17, 2016; 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
at Millard Sheets Art Center
*If artists cannot drop-off accepted artwork in person during the designated date and time, artwork must be shipped.

PREPARING PAINTINGS
|
All paintings must be wired for hanging. Please label the back of paintings with your name, title of the artwork, medium, dimensions and price.
|
SHIPPING INFORMATION
|
Out-of-town shipments MUST arrive the week of October 10 – 14, 2016. Artists will be responsible for the cost of crating, handling, and shipping artwork to and from the exhibition.

*Artists must include a pre-paid FedEx or UPS shipping label with their shipment, if they would like their unsold artwork shipped back at the end of the exhibition.
