Artist Alliance at NCRT: Ain’t Misbehavin’

This is a call to artists who are members of OMA Artist Alliance: you are invited to submit any number of entries for consideration in this juried art exhibition presented by Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) that will take place at the North Coast Repertory Theatre (NCRT) Café and Gallery, located at 987 Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Suite D, Solana Beach, CA. The exhibition space is located in the lobby of the popular North County theater venue, receiving 5,000-6,000 visitors during the run of each production. This space is viewable prior to and during theatre performance times while NCRT staff is present.

EXHIBITION DESCRIPTION AND THEME
On view July 13 ¬– August 7, 2016

Submit your artwork that relates – whether directly or indirectly – to the production described below.

AIN’T MISBEHAVIN is a roof-raising musical tribute to the black musicians of the ‘20s and ‘30s. Based on the signature Fats Waller song, this rousing musical revue takes audiences back to the glory days of the Harlem Renaissance when the Cotton Club and Savoy Ballroom served as playgrounds for high society. Delight in such favorites as “Honeysuckle Rose,” “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter,” “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love,” and dozens more. You’ll be tapping your feet as five performers take you on a journey, presenting an evening of rowdy, raunchy, and humorous songs.
