JUROR: Tina Yapelli
Professor and Senior Curator at the School of Art and Design,
San Diego State University (SDSU)
Professor Yapelli joined SDSU in 1985 as Director of the University Art Gallery. She held that position through 2012, when she became Director of the SDSU Downtown Gallery in 2013. She later transitioned to Senior Curator for the School’s Gallery Program in mid-2017. In these roles she has originated 69 exhibitions of contemporary art by regional, national, and international artists. Several of the exhibitions were co-organized in cooperation with other galleries and museums, at which they also were presented. She has organized a variety of educational programs for the University and off-campus communities, including symposia, lecture series, gallery talks, and visiting artists’ residencies.
Yapelli is a co-author of Chicano/a/x Printmaking: Making Prints and Making History 50 Years of Art Activism by Norma Iglesias Prieto, Tina Yapelli, Chantel Paul.
ELIGIBILITY:
This is an online exhibition, open to visual artists worldwide. A diverse exhibition will be selected, showcasing excellence in traditional art, fine craft, and contemporary practice.
All work must be original. Derivative works and copies of other artists' work are ineligible.
Works may be marked as "not for sale"
Prices should include shipping costs within the United States, and sold artwork must be shipped within 7 days of notification of sale
The Artists Guild will take a 25% commission on all sales
All media are eligible, including video and installation.

List sizes up to the nearest inch. Do not include mats or frames. Crop photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side up. Images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images are to be in JPEG format, under 4 mb, and in sRGB colorspace.

Keep in mind that the quality of the photography of your artwork may affect whether or not it is selected. Ensure that your piece is well-lighted and that the image is in focus and distortion-free. Distracting backgrounds should be eliminated. In general, picture frames should be cropped out, unless they are integral to the art. AWARDS:
1st Place: $1,000 • 2nd Place: $500 • 3rd Place: $300
Four Honorable Mentions of $50 each will also be awarded.
ENTRY FEE:
Artists Guild members:
$25 for one artwork and $5 for each additional work, up to five works.
Please note that member pricing is available only to current members as of the time of jurying. Works submitted under member pricing by nonmembers who have not joined by the time of jurying will be removed from the jury pool with no refund given.

Non-members:
$35 for one artwork and $10 for each additional artwork, up to five works.
(Sculpture may have three views for each entry for jurying purposes, one main view and up to two alternate views.)
Entry fees must be paid by the entry deadline. Submit artwork online. Image submitted must be a true representation of the original. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
Entry fee is not refundable.
