Artist
LARAC – Executive Director + Gallery Curator
Upon graduating from SUNY Oneonta in 2009 with Bachelors in Fine Art with a Concentration in Photography, I moved to Glens Falls from Middletown, Orange County. After volunteering at LARAC but struggling to find real work after the housing crash, my now wife and I spent a year living in NYC in 2012. Upon moving back to GF in late 2013, I was fortunate to be hired in a part time position at LARAC as their Festival Director. Now, 12 years later, I am still with LARAC as their Festival Director, Gallery Curator, which I took over six years ago, as well as their Executive Director since 2023.
I feel fortunate to be involved in the arts, especially in a very rich and supportive art centric area. I believe in the mission at LARAC and feel lucky to be integrated in the art scene here, to be standing on the shoulders of the founders of LARAC, and to be serving the regional community.
I currently sit as the President of the BOD for NCA, North Country Arts, a volunteer run NP arts organization in GF. I also currently hold the position of Co- Chair of the Glens Falls Arts District.
Personally, outside of my work obligations, I still try and find time to practice being an artist, both with photography and painting. I have participated in both large group, small group, and solo exhibitions in past and am slowly working on a new body of work. I am surrounded by art at all times, which inspires me in all aspects of my life. I also fully believe in trying to get the most out of life and frequently travel with my wife, go on bikepacking trips, and try and walk through doors that open.
