2026 Call for LPAPA Signature Members

Overview
LPAPA Signature Members are established professional artists recognized for their mastery of the en plein air tradition. This designation is a mark of excellence within the art community, signifying superior craftsmanship and a unique ability to capture the essence of a scene on location. Signature status is awarded to a limited number of artists each year who achieve the highest scores through a rigorous jury process.
Signature Member Benefits
In addition to all standard Artist Member benefits, Signature Members enjoy exclusive opportunities, including:
• Signature Showcase: Eligibility to submit work for the annual Signature Showcase at the LPAPA Gallery.
• Featured Recognition: Priority consideration for "Featured Artist" spotlights in the gallery, on the LPAPA website, and in our e-newsletters.
• Enhanced Directory Presence: An expanded artist profile on the LPAPA website with administrative assistance for directory listings.
• Educational Leadership: Opportunities to serve as an instructor or mentor for LPAPA programs, including workshops, "Plein Talks," live-streamed demonstrations, and studio tours.
Submission Requirements
Qualifications: Open to all professional artists proficient in completing fine work of art onsite in the plein air painting tradition.
Required for Submission:
1. Ten (10) Digital Images:
• 8 Images: Plein air work (created on location).
• 2 Images: Studio work.
• Open to all subjects that best represent your skills as a plein air artist.
• Note: All images must be labeled as "Plein Air" or "Studio." Work does not need to be currently for sale.
• All submissions must comply with copyright laws.
2. Professional Bio & CV: Must include plein air events participated in, awards received, and any published recognition; include link to artist website. Upload directly to your OnlineJuriedShows artist profile or email to info@lpapa.org.
How to Apply
Entry Process: Submit your high-resolution JPEG images via OnlineJuriedShows. Images must be under 4 mb and in sRGB colorspace. For best results, images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi. If you need help entering your images, please contact onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com or call 888-666-1351.
Entry Fees (Non-Refundable):
• Current LPAPA Members: $45.00
• Non-Members: $75.00
• Note: Accepted members will have their status upgraded with next renewal on their anniversary date. Accepted non-members will be registered as Signature Members with a renewal date of January 1, 2027.
Important Dates
• Submission Deadline: June 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
• Notifications: Sent via email on Monday, June 22, 2026 (or shortly thereafter).
