In addition to the in-person Betsy Lueke Creative Arts Center exhibit, accepted entries and winners will be hosted as an on-line exhibit on our official CAA website, https://collageartists.org. It will also be shown on the OnlineJuriedShows website’s “Published Shows”. Accepted artists may choose to be shown online only.
THEME: FREEDOM REFRAMED: To reframe a situation means to change the way you think about it by looking at it from a different perspective and can refer to several concepts: personal trials and tribulations or liberation, world events, in a professional setting, or in one's artistic expression. Work freely!
JUROR and SELECTION OF AWARDS: Shannon Currie Holmes is a curator, arts administrator, and creative director with over 20 years of experience in producing dozens of exhibitions, leading community arts programs, and developing strategic partnerships across Southern California. She is known for delivering mission-driven curatorial work that blends contemporary art with civic engagement, social equity, and public education. She was Founder and Director of Cella Gallery and CEO of Cella Marketing and served as Exhibition Supervisor at the Brand Library & Art Center. More recently she stepped into the role of Director of Programs of the San Fernando Valley-based non-profit 11:11 Projects, as the organization entered its second decade of growth.

ACCEPTABLE MEDIA:
· COLLAGE: Flat or very low relief.
· MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE: Moderate relief and/or different techniques and materials. MUST include some collage element(s) physically or digitally attached.
· ASSEMBLAGE: Highly dimensional, multiple three-dimensional elements, free-standing or wall-mounted.
· DIGITAL COLLAGE: Combination of multiple images. Digital manipulation of single image does not qualify. Use of AI is not acceptable.
ENTRY FEES
Members: $35 for one, $5 each for up to 3 additional entries. Maximum of two pieces accepted for any artist.

· Payment is made through OnlineJuriedShows via credit card or PayPal. Fees are non-refundable.
· There is no guarantee of acceptance into the show.
· Note: try to enter early, as last day entries may cause errors due to overloading the site.
FORMAT FOR DIGITAL IMAGES (JPGS) AND HOW TO SEND THEM
All entries must be submitted in a digital JPEG format and under 4 mb. For best results, images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi. For help with your entries, contact onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com or 888-666-1351.

ELIGIBILITY
· Only CURRENT members in good standing with Collage Artists of America (CAA) may enter. BE SURE TO JOIN CAA BEFORE SUBMISSION for $55 to qualify. Non-member work will not be juried and there will be no refunds given for entry. Visit https://collageartists.org/Member-Application
· Maximum of four (4) works not already shown at any prior juried CAA exhibit can be entered.
· Entries must be original, of the artist’s own execution and not done under direct supervision of an instructor.
· Artists may not withdraw nor change prices once work is accepted. No substitutions of accepted works allowed. Artwork may not be removed from exhibit prior to closing of exhibit, including sold artwork.
· Digital images accepted by juror must exactly match the actual delivered artwork to be exhibited.
ARTWORK FORMAT, PRESENTATION & SIZE REQUIREMENTS
There is no size limit, but there is a weight limit. Maximum weight for wall hung work is 25 lbs., for pedestal pieces 45 lbs. Pedestals are provided by the Gallery.
Any framing must be of gallery quality, clean, and in excellent condition, and of a professional appearance. Drawings, watercolors, chalk or charcoal pieces should be covered with plexiglass. In framed pieces only use plexiglass, no glass allowed. Non-traditional framing is allowed. Entries must be dry and properly fixed for permanence.
Gallery wrapped canvas or wood panel does not require framing unless the edges are unfinished. No fasteners should be visible.
Wall-hung artwork, including wall-hung assemblage, must be wired to properly support the piece for hanging. Wires must be attached with screw eyes or D-rings. Wire ends must be wrapped with tape or otherwise protected. No saw-tooth (bar) hangers accepted. The wire and eye screws must not show when the artwork is hung.
Diptychs, triptychs, and other multipart artwork must be presented as a single work at take-in, with all parts attached and ready to hang as a single piece. Any work containing ceramics, the clay must be fired and securely attached to the piece. Glass pieces cannot contain any sharp points or edges and must be securely attached to the piece.
Damaged artwork, mattes, frames, Plexiglas/glass, as well as artwork not properly wired for hanging/presentation, or not dry, will not be accepted. CAA reserves the right to refuse artwork that doesn’t meet these requirements or that greatly differs from the piece approved by the juror.
SHIPPED ARTWORK
Must be crated/boxed, prepaid, in a reusable shipping container, using bubble wrap or other high-quality packing material.
No packing peanuts, or entry will be reclosed and returned!
Include prepaid return shipping label, entry form, entry fee, plus a $25 per box handling fee, checks payable to Collage Artists of America.

REPRODUCTION OF ARTWORK IMAGES
By entering this exhibit, artist agrees that any accepted artwork may be reproduced for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes for this exhibit or future exhibits without consent of or notification to the artist or the artist’s agent.
SALES
· All checks will be paid directly to the group/artist. Betsy Lueke Creative Arts Center may collect sales tax for you, however, artist is responsible for payment of sales tax. The Betsy Lueke Creative Arts Center is set up for credit card purchases. All artwork sold is subject to a 25% commission (before sales tax) paid by the artist to the Burbank Fine Arts Federation. (Bartered prices are at artists’ discretion.) Sales Tax will be added to all work sold during show duration, currently 10.5% (unless artist requests otherwise).
· No commission is taken by the Collage Artists of America. All sales are final.
· Work does not have to be for sale.
OBLIGATIONS AND LIABILITY
· By entering this exhibit, artists agree to the terms, conditions, and instructions in this prospectus and on the entry form.
· Artworks are handled with utmost care. However, artists are solely responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance on their artwork at all times. Neither CAA, nor any organization, gallery, agent, employee, contractor, CAA member, nor volunteer is responsible for loss or damage to any artwork submitted, nor for any loss or damage that may occur during transit. Please make sure your address is correct on packaging if you are shipping.
