OVERVIEW
The Culver City Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the Artist Booth Grant Program, designed to support emerging and established artists by removing financial barriers to participation in the 7th Annual Culver City Art Walk and Roll Festival. This program will provide full booth coverage and additional artist support to foster creative community engagement.

Event Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
Event Time: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Location: Downtown Culver City Arts District
Expected Attendance: 15,000+ visitors
GRANT BENEFITS
What's Included
- Full booth rental coverage (Standard 10' x 10' festival booth)
- Artist stipend: $100 per selected artist
- Prime festival location in high-traffic arts corridor
- Basic pop up booth rental
- Marketing support in festival promotional materials
Total Program Investment
- Number of Grants Available: Up to 10 artists
- Individual Grant Value: Booth rental + $100 stipend
ARTIST ELIGIBILITY
Primary Criteria
- Artists working in any medium suitable for outdoor display or activity
- Commitment to full festival day participation (10 AM - 6 PM)
- Priority given to residents of Culver City or surrounding areas of Los Angeles
- Open to artists internationally with a commitment to attend.
Priority Consideration Given To:
- First-time festival participants
- Artists from underrepresented communities
- Emerging artists (less than 5 years professional practice)
- Artists demonstrating community engagement
- Students and recent graduates from accredited art programs
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
Examples of Acceptable Mediums
- Paintings, drawings, and mixed media
- Photography and digital art
- Sculpture and ceramics
- Jewelry and wearable art
- Printmaking and illustration
- Fiber arts and textiles
- Performance art suitable to booth presentation
- Live artmaking demonstration
- Public artmaking activity
- Any other activity that is artistic in nature and suitable for a booth presentation
Presentation Standards
- All work displayed must be original and created by the applicant
- Family-friendly content appropriate for all ages
- Compliance with festival and city guidelines
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required Materials
- Completed Application Form
- Artist contact information (enter when you create your OnlineJuriedShows account, or if you already have an account, make sure your information is up to date)
- Brief artistic background
- Festival participation goals
- Artist Statement (300 words maximum)
- Artistic vision and practice
- Why this opportunity is important to your career?
- How you plan to engage with festival visitors?
- Portfolio Submission
- 5-8 high-quality images of recent work
- Include description of image and title, medium, dimensions of artwork
- Work should be representative of work you plan to display or your activity
- Financial Need Statement (200 words maximum)
- Brief explanation of how this grant would support your participation
- Brief description of your current career stage and circumstances
- Booth Display Plan
- Description of planned booth setup
ENTRY FEE & SPECIFICATIONS
- $8 per application. Entry fees are non-refundable.
- Images must be jpg and under 4 mb. For best results, images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi

SELECTION CRITERIA
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Artistic Merit (35%) - Quality and originality of submitted work
- Financial Need (15%) - Demonstrated benefit from grant assistance
- Community Impact (25%) - Potential for positive festival contribution
- Professional Readiness (15%) - Ability to execute successful booth presentation
- Diversity & Inclusion (10%) - Contribution to festival's diverse artistic representation
IMPORTANT DATES & TIMELINE
- Application Opens: September 10, 2025
- Application Deadline: October 2, 2025 (11:59 PM PST)
- Artist Notification: October 9, 2025
- Grant Acceptance Deadline: October 12, 2025
- Mandatory Virtual Orientation: October 15, 2025 (Anticipated)
- Festival Setup: October 18, 2025 (7:00 AM - 9:30 AM)
- Festival Day: October 18, 2025 (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
GRANT RECIPIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Commitments Required
- Full participation in festival day activities
- Professional presentation of booth and artwork
- Attendance at mandatory artist orientation
- Engagement with festival visitors and community
- Brief report and images within 30 days post-festival documenting experience and outcomes
- Social media participation using festival hashtags (optional but encouraged)
Provided Support
- Pre-festival consultation with Arts Foundation staff
- Setup assistance on festival morning by the Art Walk and Role Staff
- Promotional support through Foundation channels
- Networking opportunities with other grant recipients and established artists
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Booth Specifications
- Standard 10' x 10' outdoor booth space
- Includes: tent, 1 table, 2 chairs (additional table or chairs by request)
- Artists responsible for: display materials, artwork supplies, artwork transportation, sales materials
Weather Contingency
Festival proceeds rain or shine. Weather protection provided, but artists should prepare for outdoor conditions.
Sales & Commerce
- Artists retain 100% of sales proceeds
- Responsible for own point-of-sale systems
- Must comply with applicable tax requirements
Insurance
General liability coverage provided by festival. Artists encouraged to maintain their own artwork insurance.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Submitting poor-quality portfolio images
