Qualifications Current JURIED membership in Allied Artists of the Santa Monica Mountains and Seashore. To join and request jury go to https://www.allied-artists.com. Please allow 10 days for jury process.
Subject Matter Celebrating Nature intends to highlight the natural beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. This area encompasses many individual parklands and open space preserves within Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. It is the largest urban national park in the United States and the largest urban national park in the world. For more information, go to https://www.nps.gov>samo
Works must be 2D representational artworks that depict scenes within the SMMNRA. Paintings may be in oil, acrylic, watercolor, or pastel.
No works that have previously been shown in any exhibitions at the Santa Paula Art Museum will be accepted.
Images must be jpg, under 4 mb, and in sRGB colorspace. For best results, images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi. For help with your submissions, contact onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com or 888-666-1351

Entry Fee Up to 3 works may be submitted per artist.
$35 for the first work and $5 for each additional work.
Entry fees are not refundable.
Sales Works may be for sale of not for sale (NFS). 60% Artist, 40% Santa Paula Art Museum. Prices are determined by the artist. All artworks must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. The Museum will handle all delivery and shipping following the close of the show.
Take-in All work must be hand-delivered to the museum on Monday, July 7, 2025, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The museum will handle the installation.
Opening Reception Opening reception is Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Artists plus one guest will receive free admission to the opening. For all others, admission is $5 for museum members and $10 for non-members. The Museum will provide wine and hors d’oeuvres.
Pick-up Unsold works must be picked up on Monday, November 10, 2025, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Accepted Works High resolution images of all accepted artwork will be required for the museum catalog by May 15, along with label information (title, date of creation, medium and support, size, price). If you are unable to capture high-res images of your works yourself, hire a professional photographer.
Artwork Prep All artworks must be FRAMED, clean, and ready for hanging. For the Museum’s hanging system, they prefer d-ring picture hangers on the left and right edges of the backside of your art. The top edge of your d-rings must be NO LESS than 2 inches from the top edge of your artwork/frame. Buyers appreciate when artworks are also wired for hanging.
