SUBJECT MATTER
|
The mission of this competition is to encourage artists to develop and refine their classical art skills and spotlight their mastery by providing a new platform for showcasing contemporary-traditional works of art.
We ask artists to represent Golden Horizons via contemporary-traditional methods. Any genre of work will be eligible for consideration.
This exhibition focuses on the vibrant colors of autumn – rich golds, reds and browns – capturing the visual transformation of nature as it shifts from summer’s warmth to winter’s frost.
We kindly request that artists submit works created in the last three years.
Note: NFS works are now eligible for consideration. Review updated competition guidelines here.

EXAMPLES
|
Artworks could feature figures standing in a forest surrounded by golden light, or walking among pumpkin patches or picking apples. Landscapes can capture trees in full autumnal splendor, or fields ripe for harvesting. Still lifes can showcase pumpkins, gourds, and various autumnal fruits, provoking the bounty of the harvest. Seascapes can feature the evening sun, casting a golden hue over the ocean, capturing the autumn’s softer light. It’s all up to your creative imagination!
Some potential sculptures could reflect expressive animals, like deer or foxes, symbolizing the wildlife associate with the autumn.
