Open to active Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentor Program or
Signature Artist Members of the California Art Club.

SUBJECT
|
Magnificent Miniatures showcases the artistry and precision of small-scale works, featuring paintings no larger than 9” x 12”. This contemporary-traditional exhibition highlights the beauty of landscapes, seascapes, portraits and still lifes where intricate detail and careful composition transform modest canvases into magnificent scenes.

EXAMPLES
|
Landscapes can feature small, richly detailed countryside scenes, capturing the mood of nature through light within compact dimensions. Seascapes can depict calm ocean scenes, evoking the vastness of the sea within a small frame. Portraits can be intimate, finely rendered works where expressive faces and classical poses are captured with meticulous precision. Still lifes can highlight fruits, flowers and everyday objects, where the miniature size enhances the sense of delicacy and refinement.

The guest judge for this exhibition is Amy Sidrane, Signature Artist of California Art Club.

MEDIUM AND DIMENSIONS
|
Oil, watercolor, pastel, gouache, or acrylic.
Unframed dimensions cannot exceed 9” x 12”, or 12” x 9”.

COMMISSION
|
60% Artist; 20% Old Mill; 20% CAC
All artwork MUST be for sale.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION
|
Upload artwork through Online Juried Shows to submit artwork Magnificent Miniatures. Image files must be jpg, under 4 mb, and in sRGB colorspace. For best results, images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi. For help with your entries, contact

There is a limit of 5 entries to this submission. The entry fee is $30 for 1, with $8 per additional entry. Entry fees are non-refundable.

NOTIFICATIONS

Artists will be notified via email on or around Monday, December 16, 2024.

ARTWORK DROP-OFF
|
Monday, January 13, 2025; 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
*If artists cannot drop-off accepted artwork in person during the designated date and time, artwork must be shipped.

OUT-OF-TOWN SHIPPING
|
Must arrive before Friday, January 10, 2025
Artists will be responsible for the cost of crating, handling, and shipping artwork to and from the exhibition via Box & Ship in Pasadena, CA. Further shipping information will be provided upon acceptance.
