Small Art, Big Impact

Call for Art Submissions: “Small Art, Big Impact”

At ACE Gallery

3861 Mission Avenue B3-B5, Oceanside, CA 92058

Exhibition: September 3, 2024 – October 26, 2024

ACE Gallery is thrilled to announce an opportunity for artists to participate in its inaugural Juried exhibition, "Small Art, Big Impact," featuring artworks selected by juror Julie Weaverling, former Director and Curator at Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, CA.

Artists are invited to submit their most compelling smaller scale works of art to this open-themed exhibition. All selected artworks in “Small Art, Big Impact” will measure no more than 20 inches in any direction.

About the Juror:

Julie Weaverling, former Director of Front Porch Gallery, Carlsbad, CA

Julie served as Director of Front Porch Gallery, a nonprofit gallery in Carlsbad, CA, from January 2006 until September 2023. There she curated and juried exhibits, worked with regional and national artists and created programming for artists in ten Front Porch retirement communities including numerous large-scale collaborative projects. Julie is the founder of the global art project, Lift the Sky which offers a hopeful outlook for the future and invites artists to respond to the question, “what’s your message to the world?” Currently there are over 280 contributions from artists in 14 countries (and growing). After an early 2023 inaugural exhibition, Lift the Sky was seen at ArtPrize Grand Rapids in Fall 2023 where it was voted Top 25 Finalist (out of 750 artists). Julie is a Southern California artist working in painting, fiber art and conceptual art. Her art has been exhibited nationally and internationally. With a unique artistic voice and evocative exploration of our shared human workings, Julie strives to uplift while creating beauty in her work without it having to be pretty.
