Exhibition Details:
The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts is pleasedto announce its ninthannual New York State Summer Art Show, celebrating the work of artists from across New York State. All artists who live in New York are welcome to submit work in any medium.

All works must be submitted via OnlineJuriedShows. If you have any trouble submitting via the website, please contact OnlineJuriedShows at OnlineJuriedShows@gmail.com (or 888-666-1351) for help. You can also email your entries directly to OnlineJuriedShows@gmail.com to complete your submission. Receipt of images received will be confirmed by OnlineJuriedShows via email with instructions for completing your payment (M 10 am to 2 pm PST and T – F 9 am to 5 pm)

Image files must be jpg and under 4 mb. For best results, images should be 1920 pixels on the longest side or higher @ 72 dpi and sRBG colorspace.

 

Awards:

Through the generous donations of supporters, the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts is able to offer awards and prizes for this show.

 

Eligibility:

· All works must be original works of the artist.

· All entries must be of original design and personal execution.

· Artwork previously shown at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts is not eligible for submission.

· To ensure security in displaying, hanging works must not weigh more than 25 pounds, including frame and hanging hardware.

 

Nudity Policy:

Due to the wide range of ages and cultures of the guests we host regularly at the Nigra Arts Center, we are not able to accept content that includes nudity or is sexual in theme. It is the sole discretion of the Nigra Arts Center gallery administrator and executive director to accept or reject submissions that may fall under these guidelines.

 

Fees:
The fee for entry of up to three (3) works will be $25 for non-members ($10 per additional entry) for a maximum of five entries. Members of the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts may submit three entries for $15 ($7 per additional entry) for a maximum of five entries. Those submitting online should complete their payment at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline. Legal:

· All works must be of original design and copyright of the artist.

· The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts reserves the right to utilize all images submitted to this show in promotion of the exhibition and for the general promotion of the arts center.

· The Nigra Arts Center may rescind the right of hanging any work unsuitably presented or misrepresented.

 

Selected Works:

· Selection notification will be sent by email by July 3at which time explicit instructions will be given regarding artwork drop-off. Results will be available in your OnlineJuriedShows artist profile.

· Selected works must be received at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts during the following days: Wednesday, July 17; Thursday, July 18; and Friday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturday, July 20, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Artists MUST make an appointment for drop-off by calling (518) 661-9932 or emailing Megan Balser at balserm@thearclexington.org.

· Works that are shipped to the Nigra Arts Center must be received by July 20, 2024. The mailing address for the Nigra Arts Center is 2736 New York 30, Gloversville, NY 12078.

· The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts will retain a 20% commission on all works sold.

· Selected artwork must be suitably framed and ready for installation.

· All shipping is at the expense of the artist. There is a $10 handling fee for each package shipped to the Nigra Arts Center. The handling fee covers condition reporting and photographing of the work as it arrives and follow up condition report at the conclusion of the exhibition. You must include a prepaid shipping label for the return of the work. If we do not receive the $10 handling fee or the prepaid shipping label, we will not be able to mail your work back to you. Accepted artists will receive detailed information regarding shipping and handling requirements.

· Unsold work must be picked up promptly after the show closes. Work that is not collected 60 days after the last day of the show will be forfeited to the Nigra Arts Center. Pickup dates for this exhibition are Friday, September 27; Monday, September 30; Tuesday, October 1; and Wednesday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturday, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Removal of Artwork: September 27, 30, October 1 and 2 | 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. OR September 28 | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
