ENTRIES:

Images - Maximum: 3 images (This is a member exhibition- members are guaranteed to have a painting selected by the juror)
Entry Fee: $30.00
CALL FOR OPAS ARTISTS:
This all-member event will celebrate the plein air tradition by exhibiting, promoting, and selling a group of works painted outdoors in the true spirit of plein air painting. Our juror will select the finest plein air works from members of the Ohio Plein Air Society. Every OPAS member who enters work is guaranteed to have at least one piece included in the show. We will celebrate at an opening on Saturday, Nov 16, 4- 7pm. There will be food and live music.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
• All entries must be submitted via OnlineJuriedShows by September 11, 2024.
• Artists MUST be members of the Ohio Plein Air Society to submit their works.

ENTRIES AND FEES:
• A non-refundable application fee of $30 will be collected from each artist submitting their works
• This fee is payable online only by credit card or PayPal via OnlineJuriedShows
• Each artist may submit a maximum of 3 painting images.
• All the juror’s decisions are final
• For best results, image files should be 1920 pixels or more on the longest side @ 72 dpi. Images must be jpg and under 4 mb.

CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:
• All submissions MUST BE ORIGINAL PLEIN AIR PAINTINGS
(at least 95% done on location, outside, from direct observation, no use of photography)
• Paintings should be completed during between September 2022 to September 11, 2024
• Our juror will be choosing works they feel best represent the spirit of PLEIN AIR
• Please submit your best PLEIN AIR work only, no studio work
• All artwork MUST BE framed and wired securely for hanging in a fine art gallery setting
• Works on paper and mediums susceptible to smearing/smudging MUST BE protected under glass or plexiglass
• Size limit: artwork cannot exceed 60” on the longest side including frame
• The K12 Tejas Gallery reserves the right to reject any artwork deemed improperly
framed or improperly prepared for hanging
• Any work accepted to the juried show MUST BE present for the duration of the scheduled exhibition
JURYING PROCESS:
• Juror: Tejas Gallery Director
• Each artist member may submit up to 3 paintings to be judged
• Each painting is judged on an individual basis and, therefore, considered on an individual basis for exhibition as well, not as a group
• Notifications will be sent to ALL ARTISTS, regarding paintings selected or not, via Online Juried Shows by September 20, 2024. Results will be available in your OnlineJuriedShows artist profile
DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED PAINTINGS:
• Drop-Off date is Monday, October 10, 2024 from 9am-6pm, Tuesday October 11 9am-5pm, Wednesday October 12 2024, from 10 am – 2 pm
• Please include name, title, sale price and insured price on a label on the back of the painting
• No shipping of paintings to the gallery is allowed
• Please work together with others in your area for delivery and pick-up
ART SALES:
• A predetermined sales price MUST BE provided by the artist for each painting submitted to the show If the painting is not for sale, we still need an insurance value for the painting. Add the value to the description field on the entry form if NFS.
• The K12 Gallery will act as agent in the sale of any of the Exhibitors' works of art.
• The K12 Gallery of art charges a 20% commission on sales.
EXHIBITION CLOSE AND RETURN OF UNSOLD WORK:
• The exhibition officially ends December 31st, 2024
• Pick-up dates Friday January 3,2025 from 10am-5pm, and Saturday January 4, 2025 from 10am-2pm
• Please work together with others in your area for delivery and pick-up
