Call for all California artists in CATEGORIES: Oil, Acrylic, Watermedia, Mixed Media/Collage,Photography, Digital Art, (NO AI), Other Media: Includes, Pastels, Drawing/Printmaking, Sculpture/Wall-Hanging Sculpture, and Textile. Giclee’s are accepted but not judged. Up to three (3) entries can be submitted

 

ELIGIBLE ARTWORKS: All work must be original, done in the past 2 years, and may not havewon a cash award in any previous COAL show. ALL Diptychs or triptychs are accepted as one piece, if they are not attached together in anyway as a unit, (A work of art made up of two to three matching panels that are not hinged or attached together will be considered as one entry.A picture or series of pictures, attached/hinged are considered independent entries. No workusing copyrighted source material unless you own the copyright. No “not for sale” entries allowed.

 

Artist may not win multiple cash awards. Giclee’s can be entered, but are not juried.

 

ENTRY SPECIFICATIONS: Image files must be jpg and under 4 mb. For best results, your files should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi. For help with your submissions, contact onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com or 888-666-1351

 

ART SPECIFICATIONS: (3 ) Entries can be submitted, (1) may be large per specifications below. Entries mustbe suitable for general viewing. All entries must be dry, framed or gallery wrapped, sides painted, or finished, and mounted with D-rings, and must use only sturdy picture hanging wire (no single wire, or string). Wire must be hung 3” below the top of the frame (at the stretched apex). Wire ends must be taped, no wire is to be exposed above the frame when stretched to hang on a nail. No saw-tooth hangers or eye-screws will be accepted. Art on paper larger than 24x30: must be under glass orplexiglass.

 

WEIGHTS/MEASUREMENTSL: 2D Artwork 10lbs, max.,3D Wall Hanging: 10lbs, max., 3D Free-standing Sculptures: 30lbs, max. Any single 2D art or 3D wall hanging entry may have a diagonal measurement, (Top left to bottom right corners) including the frame, and measured diagonally, can be no greater than 50” inches each. The total inches of all combined entries (including frame), measured corner to corner must not exceed 100 inches. 3D Free Standing Sculpture up to 72 inches. Must be secured and attached to base. 

 

ENTRY FEES:  All fees are non-refundable

COAL Members: $25 for the 1st entry, and $15 for each additional entry. (Must be in good standing) Note to Members: All accepted artists must have an assigned hosting date prior to take-in. 

Non-members:      $30 for 1st entry and $20 for each additional entry. (Non-members may join COAL online at a prorated rate prior to entering your application to receive the discounted rate. (by July 1).

 

ACCEPTED ART: Artist Identification

You will be provided Entry tags forms at take-in: However, we require an additional form of identification be attached to your artwork listing your name, phone and title. Before coming to the gallery.  

ART IDENTIFICATION:  require that artist identification is attached to the back. (Title, name, phone number). No exceptions. You will be provided a sheet to compete for your artwork tags, make a copy tobring with you at take-in. COAL reserves the right to reject artwork that is not presented as per these submission requirements.

 

PRICING: The minimum sale price is $25.00 and art must be priced in $5 increments. Sales tax must be included in your sale price @ 7.750%, Gallery takes a 20% commission, plus a 3% commission for credit card sales. NO NSF artwork accepted. Any Artwork sold may be replaced with any piece for a $15.00 fee, and must be the same size.

 

SALESImportant. All art sales over $600, the artist is to provide a W-9 prior to mailing funds. All sold artwork will be funded the following month, by September 15th day via a bank draft.  

AWARDS: It is your responsibility: Each awarded artists, including with awards checks, will not be mailed. You must pick up their award at the reception, or at art pick-up at the front desk.

 

LIABILITY: Carlsbad Oceanside Art League (COAL) and the accepted Artist, Representatives, and/or Owner of certain artworks, originals, prints created by the artist, and presented to the Carlsbad- Oceanside ArtLeague, hereafter referred to as the (COAL), for the participation in the 72nd Fine Art Open Annual at the North Coastal Art Gallery, do hereby acknowledge that I have am voluntarily participating. in the temporary exhibition, and that. I am responsible to adhere to the Policies and Procedures in this Prospectus set forth for inclusion into this event.

 

I have carefully read and acknowledged to hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League and its officers, employees, and agents, from and against any claim or suit for loss, damage or injury to the works of art or including loss, damage or injury caused by any person or from acts of third parties or fire, or water while the works of art are on public display. I release, hold harmless and agree not to sue, and fully understand to waive any claim or loss or damage to the works of art caused during event exhibition period, August 4 – September 1, 2024, until the works of art are removed by me, or sold at the event. You should consider providing your own insurance. I further acknowledge that, pictures and/or videos taken during COAL programs, activities and/or events may beused for future promotional or communication purposes on all social media platforms representing the COAL. The above Waiver cannot be altered or the artwork will not be accepted for exhibition. I accept and am aware that this is considered a full release of all liability upon entering the 72nd Fine Art Open Annual, and that I have read the requirements. 

 

Acknowledged of terms is by virtue of this submission Prospectus and Agreement as provided on the OnlineJuriedShows Prospectus/Application.
