Meet our Juror:    Susan Miller

Susan Miller is a mixed media artist, expressive arts therapist, creativity coach and healing arts practitioner. She facilitates art and healing workshops and retreats, mixed media art classes, offers pet and people commissions, and makes art in her home studio regularly. She loves to create art that includes multiple media such as collage, ephemera, stencils, splashes and drips of paint, and mark-making from found objects and fiber. Along with watercolor and all types of painting and drawing media, she also enjoys quilting, fabric art, weaving, jewelry making, and felting. She uses an organic painting process that starts out with intuitive layering and ends with detailed work, incorporating whimsy, botanicals and wildlife.

Susan has studied art extensively with a fiber art/mixed media focus as a minor in college and further workshops and training under many master artists of different media. She has won awards for her paintings and shown her art in many galleries in North Carolina.
