DESCRIPTION
|
This is a call to artists who are members of OMA with the Artist Alliance add-on to submit artwork for Color Pop! Artist Alliance at The University Club an exhibition that includes works featuring the vibrant and dynamic intensity of pure pigment, lively and luminous in a variety of hues, tints, and shades.
Submissions will be accepted exclusively through OnlineJuriedShows.com (OJS).

LOCATION
|
The University Club Atop Symphony Towers, 750 B Street, Suite 3400, San Diego, CA 92101
In 1896, a group of 8 men and 13 women created the College Graduate Club with the intention of connecting scholars to discuss the important topics of the day. A decade later, the University Club was founded as a private corporation aimed at promoting literature, art, and culture amongst its members, laying the foundation for dynamic interactions.

EXHIBIT DATES

October 23, 2023 – January 20, 2024
Artist Reception: Tuesday, October 24, 6:30-8:30pm
The University Club is private and not open to the public. Participating Artists may invite guests to view the artworks at the Artist Reception.

ART DROPOFF
|
·Friday, October 20, 2023, 12:00-6:00pm at the University Club Atop Symphony Towers.
·Artists may also email Maka Catori (Maka@oma-online.org) to arrange delivering artwork to OMA October 17 – October 19 during regular Museum hours.

ART PICKUP
|
·Monday, January 21, 2024 12:00am -6:00pm at the University Club Atop Symphony Towers.
·Artists may also email Maka Catori (maka@oma-online.org) to arrange transportation of artwork for pick up from OMA at a later date.
|
ENTRY FEE
|
$20 for first image, $10 for each thereafter
Thank you for being a part of OMA. Your submission fees (less Online Juried Shows listing fees) and membership dues go directly toward supporting the museum’s exhibitions and educational programming.

ELIGIBILITY
|
Artists must be current OMA member with the Artist Alliance affiliate membership. Artists who are not members of the OMA Artist Alliance but are interested in participating in this event must become members of OMA at any level with the Artist Alliance add-on affiliate membership before submitting artwork for consideration.
OMA Artist Alliance can be joined by one of the following methods:

·In person: Visit Oceanside Museum of Art at 704 Pier View Way, Oceanside CA (please check www.oma-online.org for public hours)

ARTWORK DIMENSIONS
|
Maximum dimensions, INCLUDING FRAME:
·Height: 55”
·Width: 50”
·Artwork may not protrude from the wall more than 5”
|
ARTWORK PARAMETERS
|
·Submissions must be the artist’s original work.
·Painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, assemblage, collage, mixed media will be considered for this exhibition.
·Wall mounted 2-D art only.
·Works requiring an external electrical source cannot be accommodated.
·All artwork must arrive 'gallery ready' and 'ready to hang' and be presented professionally. Unframed 2-D work must have finished edges. Presentation of delivered artwork must be acceptable to juror and/or exhibition coordinator.
·Preferably, framed artwork should be in black wood or natural wood frame. No color mats.Exception may made with consent of exhibition coordinator, if frame or mat is essential to the work of art.
·No glass - plexiglass only.
·Hardware: either D rings or wires are acceptable.
·All submissions must be original works of art. No giclees or other reproductions, with exception of limited edition prints and/or photography.
·A maximum of one artwork per artist will be selected.

SALES
|
Sales will not be conducted by the University Club, nor will they take a commission. Sales will be conducted privately by artists. OMA would appreciate a 20% donation from sales resulting from this exhibition.

HOW TO APPLY
|

The quality of artwork photography may affect your eligibility. Ensure that artwork is photographed in a well-lit environment, and that details are clear. Include only the artwork in the image.
For best results submit high quality 72 dpi images under 4 MB, and close to 1920 pixels on the longest side. Image files should be jpg.

By submitting images, the entrant warrants that they created each of the artworks submitted and that they possess all legal rights to them. The entrant agrees that all submitted images selected by the juror may be used for marketing and promotional purposes related to the event.By providing the images and other information through this entry, the entrant gives permission for OMA, OMA Artist Alliance, and The University Club to use images of accepted artwork for promotion, reference, printed materials and online postings related to this exhibit as well as in future advertising. All images used by OMA, OMA Artist Alliance, and The University Club will be credited to the artist. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.

On the day of notification, you can do the following, but you will also receive an email notification, sent from Constant Contact, that will state the same.
1. Go to OnlineJuriedShows.com and log in using your email address and password.
2. Right above where you just logged in, click "Your Artist Profile." You are now in Your account!
3. You will see your results at the very bottom of the page (under shows that jury by work as a whole).
4. As you will see, it will say either "You have been Accepted or Declined into the show." Under that sentence, you can click "Read Acceptance (or Declined) Letter." The letter will then be displayed.
NOTE: Please be sure to read your letters in their entirety. Most acceptance letters will ask you to RSVP or will have special instructions you must follow.
