The Nordblom Company seeks to enhance the outdoor spaces of the 3rd Avenue, Burlington retail area and office park. They wish to purchase sculptures to be permanently installed in this area over the next few years. The first site is ready to go and NESA is looking for a sculpture to be placed there. NESA is calling for the submission of works to be considered for this site, with more opportunities to be developed in the future.

Artist Compensation: Artist will receive 100% of the purchase price. The maximum budget for the purchased work is  $20,000.

Specifications

·      Colorful, interactive, playful, and kinetic (but safe!) works will be especially welcome. The site is adjacent to a children's water play area that is used in the summer.

·      Sculptures should be suitable for long-term, outdoor exposure, fabricated and installed in a viewer-safe manner.

·      Politicized works will not be considered.

·      Sculptures that need long-term maintenance will be excluded.

·      Works should not exceed 12 feet in height or 10 feet in diameter.

·      Transporting the piece to the site is the responsibility of the artist.

·      The chosen artist will work in consultation with the Nordblom Company to complete the installation.

·      Submissions must include a description of how the work is to be installed. Please include in the description field of entry form.

·      Work displayed will have plaques with identifying information including the title of the work and the artist.

Additional information

Only original artworks will be accepted. Submitted images must accurately depict sculpture to be installed. For best results, image files should be 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi. Image files must be jpg and under 4 mb. For help with your entries, contact onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com or 888-666-1351. Artists may not withdraw accepted works or substitute accepted works. The accepted entry may also be displayed on the New England Sculptors Association’s website (nesculptors.org). Images of work accepted may be used by the Nordblom Company and NESA for marketing and promotional purposes without notifying the artist.
