Open to all current members of the California Art Club.
Please note that this prospectus previously stated that this exhibition was only open to Juried Artist Members.
Associate Artist Members are now eligible to submit artwork for consideration

SUBJECT MATTER
|
Affectionately known to locals as “the Arroyo”, the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena is a protected parkland with 22 miles of trails and recreation opportunities. It provides the habitat to sustain the rich biodiversity found within this stunning canyon.
We ask that artists submit works that capture the picturesque nature and unique charm of the varied spaces in the Arroyo Seco, with special attention to its habitat, water resources and wild life common to the area.
We kindly encourage artists to review the Arroyo Seco Trail Guide Info Sheet supplied by the City of Pasadena for inspiration.

MEDIUM & DIMENSIONS
|
Paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic.
A suggested limit on dimensions is 16” x 20” or 18”x 24”, which would allow 50 – 60 works to be displayed. Larger works will also be considered.

|
60% Artist; 20% CAC; 20% PMOH

|

ENTRY FEE
|
Please pay by credit card through OnlineJuriedShows.com. For $35, you may submit 1 image. Additional images are $10 each. There is a limit of 10 entries per artist.

NOTIFICATIONS
|
Guest judges are Michael Obermeyer, President and Signature Artist of the CAC; Peter Adams, President Emeritus and Signature Artist of the CAC; and Jeannette O’Malley at the Pasadena Museum of History.
Notifications will be sent to artists via their OnlineJuriedShows account on or around August 11.

ARTWORK DROP-OFF/PICK-UP
|
Please note that artwork must be hand-delivered, no shipments will be accepted.
Local drop-off is Thursday, September 21 - Friday, September 22, 2023 between 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Pasadena Museum of History, 470 W. Walnut St. Pasadena, California 91103.
Pick-up is Monday, February 5 - Tuesday, February 6, 2024 between 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.

PREPARING PAINTINGS
|
There is an expectation that sold works are framed. The CAC will handle the sale of the artwork, itself, and any associated tax.
Please label the back of paintings with your name, title of the artwork, medium, dimensions and price.

SHIPPING and SALES
|
Shipping to a collector will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If a work sells, the collector will assume shipping costs. There is an expectation that sold works are framed. The artist will be responsible for preparing and packaging the work for shipment. The CAC will handle the sale of the artwork, itself, and any associated tax.
Artwork cannot be removed for the duration of the exhibition.
