The mission of this competition is to encourage artists to develop and refine their classical art skills and spotlight their mastery by providing a new platform for showcasing contemporary-traditional works of art.
We ask artists to represent The Wonders of Winter via contemporary-traditional methods. Any genre of work will be eligible for consideration.
The works could depict anything from figures skiing, to ballerinas dancing the Nutcracker, to nocturnal scenes showcasing a dazzling display of holiday lights and decorations, to snow dusted trees or snowcapped mountains, to migrating birds, or even allegorical works exploring the mythological story of the winter season.
Some potential sculptures could be anything from a star, to an angel, to an intricate snowflake, to hibernating or migrating animals, etc.
We kindly request that artists submit works created in the last three years.
Note: NFS works are now eligible for consideration. Review updated competition guidelines here.
