EXHIBITION TITLE:
7th Annual LPAPA “Waterworks”

EXHIBITION DATES:
Monday, May 1 through Monday, May 29, 2023
LOCATION:
LPAPA Gallery, 414 North Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, (949) 376-3635 Hours: Thursday through Monday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and by appointment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Open to all LPAPA members in good standing, Signature Members, Artist Members and Student Members
SUBJECT MATTER:
Open to all subjects
SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Submit online before 11:59 pm on Monday, March 27, 2023
ARTWORK ELIGIBILITY:
All submitted work must be transparent watercolor
Plein air and studio work accepted, each piece to be designated plein air or studio
Entries must be original and executed within the last year and must not violate copyright laws
Entries must not have been shown in a previous LPAPA Gallery exhibition
Maximum size unframed size not to exceed 36 united inches (United Inches = Length + Width)
Minimum size unframed size not to be less than 12 united inches (United Inches = Length + Width)
All work must be framed, wired and ready to hang
Wire your painting to allow clearance for a 2” hook not show above the frame when hung; a minimum 2” clearance is recommended; wires revealing hooks after being hung will require rewiring of the painting and delay the painting’s exhibition; paintings must be hung to be included in the awards judging.
Note: The Randy Higbee Gallery/King of Frames offers to frame your work and deliver to the LPAPA Gallery
COMMISSION:
50% to Artist, 50% to LPAPA
All accepted artwork must be available for sale through the LPAPA Gallery and online auction
HOW TO APPLY:
Submit jpg painting images online for jurors’ review through OnlineJuriedShows.com before the deadline. Image quality matters! Submitted images will be used to promote the accepted artwork and showcase online. Image files must be under 4 mb.
ENTRY FEE:
$35 for up to 2 painting images; each additional painting image is $5.00
You may submit up to a maximum of 6 painting images
Entry Fee payment must be made through OnlineJuriedShows.com
Submitting artists will receive a $5.00 “LPAPA Loyalty Rewards” credit applied to their LPAPA Membership Account
NOTIFICATIONS:
Notifications to be emailed to artists by Monday, April 3, 2023, or as soon as possible after jurying is complete. Results will be available to view in your Artist Profile at that time.
ART DROPOFF & PICKUP:
Artwork to be delivered or shipped to the LPAPA Gallery to arrive by 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 The gallery will be open for hand-carried deliveries on Tuesday, May 2nd, between 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Artwork not received within the specified delivery window may not be eligible for awards judging
Artwork may be shipped to and from the LPAPA Gallery at the artist’s expense
Unsold artwork to be picked up on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, between 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
PLEASE NOTE: LPAPA does not have the ability to store artwork for extended periods after a show closes. Please pick up your artwork on the scheduled pickup day, or schedule an alternative pick up time during regular gallery hours after the show closes. If you wish to have your work shipped, please arrange for return shipping within 3 days after the show closes. Unclaimed artwork remaining at the gallery after 14 days of a show closing, without the artist having scheduled a pickup date or provided payment for return shipping, will be considered abandoned and become the property of LPAPA.
Although the utmost care will be taken in handling artwork, neither LPAPA, nor its representatives will be responsible for damage or loss from any cause. Insurance, if desired, is the responsibility of the artist.
