Piedmont Award:  Pastel supplies with a retail value of $200 will be awarded to a member living within 200 miles of the Piedmont Triad Area.

Virtual Awards Celebration Participant Bonus

Six $25 Gift Cards winners will be randomly selected during the Ceremony. We will hold a demo by our Juror following the Ceremony.

Exhibition Details:

• Up to five entries can be submitted by each active PPS member (See item 1. Eligibility below)
• From those paintings submitted, one painting will be selected or possibly two at the discretion of the juror
• $25 for two entries
• $10 for each additional image

Online exhibition: This show will be published only on Online Juried Shows 

Entry Requirements

1.     Eligibility

·       Open to all active members of the PPS.

·       Active membership constitutes those with fully paid dues prior to 1 October 2022.

2.     Medium

·       Soft and/or hard pastel on any surface.

·       Underpainting is admissible, but the top layer of the artwork must be a minimum of 80% pastel.

·       Oil pastels will not be accepted.

3.     Subject Matter:  The PPS Exhibition Committee reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for exhibition online.

4.     Size of Artwork: There are no size restrictions for this online show.

5.     Originality

·       All work presented for this exhibit shall be original.

·       No images from published or internet photographic sources permitted without written permission from the photographer.

·       Compositions should not be based on another artist’s work.

·        You may use another photographer’s reference material if granted permission in writing.

·       Paintings executed in a workshop or class under another artist’s supervision are NOT eligible.

·       Entries that have been shown in previous shows in North Carolina are not eligible.

·       Paintings must have been completed within the last three (3) years.

·       Entries that have won previous awards, including Honorable Mention, in any IAPS Member Society show are not eligible.  A complete list of these societies can be found at the following link: http://www.iapspastel.org/memsoc_directory.php

6.     Digital Image Specifications:

·       Entries are made using Online Juried Shows only.

·       Go to www.onlinejuriedshows.com and sign in or register a user account.

·       No file-naming restrictions.

·       Juror will not see the file name.

·       JPEGS must not show mat, frame, etc., and must be an accurate representation of the artwork.

·       Crop the photos to include only the artwork.

·       Be sure your images are right side up.

·       Images must be smaller than 4MB, 1920 pixels on the longest side, and 72dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, RGB color space.

·       Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at: www.onlinejuriedshows.com/help.aspx If you need help entering your images or are unable to do so, please onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com or call 949-287-8645. ·       OnlineJuriedShows will handle the management of the images, however it is advised to at submit your images 1920 pixels on the long size at 72 dpi and quality of 12.  Image should be less than 3 Mb.

Sale of Artwork

• Upon request, potential buyers will be informed of artists’ contact information in order in order that they might purchase artwork. Artists are encouraged to promote and to sell their painting via website or social media.  A voluntary donation to PPS of a 20% commission is encouraged for any sale resulting from our show as support of our organization.

Agreement and Liability

• Submission of a work of art in this exhibit shall constitute an agreement by all parties to all conditions of this prospectus.
• Entry in this exhibit gives PPS the right to photograph or use the submitted images for promotional purposes, including posting submitted and award-winning entries on the PPS website and social media.
