Description of Exhibition
We are pleased to announce that the 110th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition will be held at the Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University. The exhibition dates are July 10 – August 7, 2021.
Note: Although we do hope to host the exhibition at the museum, due to the unpredictable nature of COVID-19 and related public safety restrictions, there is a possibility, much like the 109th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, that this exhibition may be presented as a virtual experience.
Since its 1909 inauguration, the California Art Club has been dedicated to promoting and supporting contemporary-traditional fine art through championing painting and sculpture featuring representational practices. The annual Gold Medal Exhibition is the most vital platform for demonstrating the best of the realist genre. With an awareness of both the California Art Club's mission and the high quality expectations of this exhibition, CAC artists are encouraged to submit artwork that best exemplifies their talents. This year the exhibition will be more exclusive. Due to the smaller scale of the venue, we ask that artists remain conscious of the size limitations for their artwork. Please consider submitting modestly sized works.
