46th Annual Members Show

Western Ohio Watercolor Society announces "The Art of Watercolor," Western Ohio Watercolor Society 46th Annual Members Show.  

The show will be held at The Springfield Museum of Art on December 19, 2020 through March 7, 2021. The Museum is located at 107 Cliff Park Road, Springfield, OH 45504.

This will be a great opportunity to showcase the WOWS’ members’ artwork in such a beautiful museum and location.  A reception is scheduled for January 31, 2021 from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm.  Such great exposure and opportunity for sales!

Eligibility:

Eligibility for the show will be membership dues being current. Artwork cannot be from a workshop or class, copied from another artist, and cannot have appeared in a previous WOWS show. Artwork can be in a wood or metal frame with glass or Plexiglas; white or neutral color for a mat preferred. No saw tooth hangers or o-ring hangers accepted.

Fees:

Fees to enter the show will be $25.00 for the first image and any additional images will be $5.00 each.  Each member is allowed up to three images ($35 fee to enter 3 images into the show).  Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.

Juror:

Patrick Mauk: a painter and printmaker, born in Lima, Ohio. He attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a Master of Fine Art Degree. Mauk has participated in numerous solo, two person and group exhibitions around the Ohio region. His work can be seen in private collections across the USA, Norway, Germany and Japan. 

Sales:

30% commission goes to Springfield Art Museum.  They handle all the sales and transactions.

1st place $250.00

2nd place $150.00

3rd place $100.00

3 honorable mentions $50.00

Open to Entries:September 23, 2020 through October 16, 2020

Notification Deadline: October 26, 2020

Artwork Drop Off: Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm

Reception: Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm

Artwork Pick-up: Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm

No Shipping.  If you are not available for the drop off or pickup times, please use the buddy system and ask a member or friend to help take your artwork to the museum.
