Juror of Selections and Awards
Christine Ivers - PSA-MP, IAPS/MC, CPS, PSWC
Chris attained a BFA in painting and two-dimensional design from Hartford Art School in 1973 and found work in the advertising field for the last 40 years, after which she returned to her passion of painting and works in both pastels and oils. She is the Past President of the CT Pastel Society, of which she is also a Signature Member. Chris is a Master Pastelist of the Pastel Society of America, an Elected Artist at Lyme Art Association, Audubon Artists, Allied Artists of America, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and Academic Artists of America. Other affiliations are with Salmagundi Club NYC, is a Signature Member of Hudson Valley Art Association, a Signature Member of Pastel Society of West Coast, and numerous other national art organizations.
Chris received her Master Circle Medal at the International Association of Pastel Societies Convention that was held in Albuquerque, NM in May of 2009. She was chosen to have her paintings included in Kennedy Publishing’s “Best in American Artists” Pastel Edition and she has been chosen as one of Paint America’s National Top 100 Artists. She has been published in multiple hard covered editions of The Richeson 75 International Competitions having been chosen in the top 75 artists worldwide. Chris was awarded the Art Spirit Foundation Silver Medal Award for Excellence in Pastel and was chosen as one of the Top 100 Pastelists by Pastel Journal where she received two Honorable Mention Awards in the Landscape Division. She was featured in the French publication Practiqué des Arts in an issue highlighting pastel artists from around the world and was also featured in Pastel Journal’s Tips for Painting Pastels at Night. She is included in Pure Pastel, a beautiful hard covered book edited by Pastel Journal’s Anne Hevener. Chris recently took two Best In Show Awards at the CT Women Artists Annual Juried Members Exhibit and at the New Britain Museum of American Art. She is currently Vice President of the International Association of Pastel Associations and a past board member of the Pastel Society of America. Her work has won many awards across the country and is part of private and public collections. Chris and her husband David live in Central Connecticut.

Eligibility
This Exhibition is open to all artists over the age of 18 working in the soft pastel medium.
80% of the exposed surface must be dry pastel.
No oil pastels.
The work can not have been accepted into any prior PSNC Pure Color International Online Exhibition.
If a painting entered is found to have been in a previous PSNC Pure Color International Online Exhibition, no paintings by that artist will be allowed in this exhibtion, and the artist will be denied eligibility to enter PSNC Pure Color International Online Exhibition for 2 years.
Must have been created in the last 5 years.
There is no size limitation.
Must be entirely the work of the artist and not copied from another artist’s work, photos, or publications.
Must not have been created under supervision in a workshop or class.
May not be glazed works with a finished surface of matte acrylic, resin, or solvent varnish.
If the work is not for sale, check “NFS” on the entry form.
Entry Fees
Member Pricing: $30 for up to 3 images for members of the Pastel Society of North Carolina. (Please make sure your membership dues are up-to-date). $10 each for up to 3 additional entries. A total of 6 entries allowed per artist.
Non-member Pricing: $40 for up to 3 images for artists not a member of the Pastel Society of North Carolina. $10 each for up to 3 additional entries. A total of 6 entries allowed per artist.

Entry Process
Entries are made using Online Juried Shows only.
Go to www.onlinejuriedshows.com and sign in or register a user account.
Up to 6 images may be submitted – up to 2 paintings may be accepted into show per artist.
No file-naming restrictions. Juror will not see the file name.
JPEGS must not show mat, frame, etc., and must be an accurate representation of the artwork. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right side up.
Images must be smaller than 4MB, 1920 pixels on the longest side, and 72dpi.
Images should be in JPEG format, RGB color space.

Payment
The ENTRY FEE is paid via PayPal/Credit card to Online Juried Shows upon submission. No checks accepted. All entry fees are nonrefundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
Sales
Prices may not be changed after submission is completed and after the submission deadline.
The artist is responsible for any sales transactions, and no commissions will be charged.
As a condition of entry to the 2020 Pure Color Online International Exhibition, the submitting artist agrees to the terms and conditions stated herein including granting permission to the Pastel Society of North Carolina and Online Juried Shows to reproduce the accepted paintings on their websites, and for advertising and promotional purposes only. No images will be used or published for any purpose except as stated above.
