1. WORKS ELIGIBLE:
Open to all artists 18 or older. One or two works may be submitted for selection in the same media only. However, only one entry per artist may be accepted. Works only in Representational or Traditional Realism will be considered. All entries in oil, acrylic, water media, mixed media, pastel, graphics and sculpture must be original and not previously exhibited with the American Artists Professional League.
2. RESTRICTIONS:
Paintings and Graphics must not exceed 42” overall in either direction – this includes the frame. All work must be framed, no wrap-arounds. Hung work must be appropriately prepared for hanging with installed screw eyes and wire attached; work must not exceed 35 lbs. Fixed hanging hardware without wire will not be accepted. Sculpture must not exceed 24” at the base in either direction. Pedestals will be supplied by the gallery at no charge to artists. Standing and hung sculpture weight limit is 35 lbs. If the base can be separated or removed, the weight limit for the integrated work is 40 lbs. any painting, graphics or sculpture exceeding the above dimensions or criteria will not be accepted. Please Note: Photo-lithographs and computer generated artwork are not eligible. Living artist submissions only.
3. METHOD OF SUBMISSION:
To submit your entry form information on-line, go to: www.aaplinc.org, select 91st Grand National Exhibition. You will be linked to “Online Juried Shows”. Please follow instructions, or go to onlinejuriedshows.com and search for AAPL 91st Grand National Exhibition.
Image name format: Last Name_First Init_Item#_Title.jpg (Example:Cassatt_Mary_01_theboatingparty.jpg). Payment can be PayPal or Credit Card. If you would prefer to make a payment by check, please print the entry form after you submit your images on-line and mail it with your check and entry number. Your work will be considered pending until the printed invoice and your check are received. For written acceptance notification, complete and mail the entry form and include a self-addressed, stamped No.10 business envelope; otherwise, your acceptance notification will be e-mailed to your email address.
4. ENTRY DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:
The deadline is Monday, October 7, 2019.
5. ENTRY FEE:
Elected Artist Members: $35.00 for first entry, $20.00 for second entry. Non-members: $65.00 for first entry; $35 for second entry. There will be no refunds for rejected works.
6. DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORK:
Hand-delivered work must have the Exhibition Label attached to the back and will only be accepted on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY (Exhibition Label will be available on-line and sent with exhibition acceptance envelopes
SASE).
POSITIVELY NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Do not send crated artwork to the Salmagundi Club, as it will be returned AT YOUR EXPENSE. Shipped artwork should be sent via an agent - contact by e-mail or telephone:

7. REMOVAL DATE:
All exhibited work must be picked up on Saturday November 23, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. Shipped artwork must be picked up by your designated shipper on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Work not called for will be subject to storage at the owner’s risk and will be charged a storage fee of $10.00 per day.
8. COLOR CATALOG:
If your work is accepted into the exhibition and you would like to have your work included in the catalog, please make your payment no later than October 19, 2019. Fee: $50. Payments can be made through PayPal on our website, or you can pay by check made out to American Artists Professional League and send to: Kathryn Mingo, 6 Jonathan Court, Islip Terrace, NY 11752.
AAPL is asking members to donate 8”x 8” Gessobord works of art for sale during the Grand National. All of these works of art will be featured in the catalog at no additional charge.
9. SALES:
The American Artists Professional League will make every effort to promote sales. There will be a 25% commission on all work sold.
10. ARTIST SUBMISSION AGREEMENT:
Your online entry and payment will constitute that you agree and acknowledge the terms and conditions set forth in this Prospectus. Manual mail-in entry forms must be signed for work to be reviewed.
