EDWARD HOPPER HOUSE ART CENTER welcomes applicants to its 21st annual Small Matters of Great Importance juried exhibition, held in two gallery rooms of Edward Hopper’s birthplace and childhood home, now a non-profit art center and museum. The exhibition celebrates small works that make big statements despite their size.
THEME: The theme for this year’s exhibitions is “En Route.” In celebration of the new bridge being built across Edward Hopper’s beloved Hudson River and in recognition of Hopper’s frequent use of travel themes in his paintings, we invite artists to submit work that refers in some way to travel, journeys, movement, etc.
