This exhibit is open to all Artists working in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel residing in California that can personally deliver and retrieve their work or have a friend do so. Entering Your Images

For best results, make sure your image is 1920 pixels @72 dpi on the longest side. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.

Eligibility
Open to all artists in California that can hand deliver and retrieve their work (should it not sell) or have a friend do so. Artists may submit work in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and pastel. No photography, video or 3D work will be considered. Work must be framed or gallery wrapped with finished edges and wired for hanging. Please now saw tooth hangers. Dimensions may not exceed 24” in height by 36” in length, not including frame. Paintings larger than 24” x 36” must receive special approval. Entries must be plein air paintings, executed on location, out of doors or inspired by plein air. The theme A Toast to the Coast is in appreciation for our host venue, Wargin Wines, and in the spirit of Summer. It is open to the artist’s interpretation. Artists must be able to hand deliver and pick up their work if it does not sell. No shipped work will be accepted.
Fees
$38 for up to 3 images.
Juror
The Award Juror is California plein air artist, Patty Biederman: http://carmelart.org/artist-description/?id=55 . Patty is a Carmel-based Plein Air painter who derives the bulk of her inspiration from the landscapes she has seen on her numerous cross-country road trips in the states and her frequent forays abroad.
First as an interior designer in the New York Metropolitan area, then as a gallery owner in rural Virginia. Patty is represented by the Carmel Art Association Gallery.
Exhibition Details
The Toast to the Coast Exhibition & Sale will be hosted by Wargin Wines at their Watsonville tasting room at 11 Hanger Way in Watsonville, CA. and will feature paintings by The Central Coast Plein Air Painters of the amazing beauty of California’s Central Coast. Selected artwork will be on display through end of August. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given as well as 3 honorable mentions. Artists will receive 75% of all sales of their work. The exhibition and sale will be promoted via social media and PR. Artists are welcome to invite as many fans of their work as they like. Wargin Wines will be offering wine tasting of their delicious wine and light refreshments for all guests of age.

Timeline of events including
Open/close date for submitting their work online: June 4th to June 22nd by midnight
Notifications sent out: June 25th
Drop off of artwork and hang artwork: Friday, June 29th 11am to 1pm
Gala reception and awards: July 6th 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00
Second Artist Reception First Friday, August 3rd 2018 (optional) from 4 to 8pm
Painting pick up TBD before the end of August.
