Filoli
Fall Landscapes of the Golden State

Exhibit Name: Fall Landscapes of the Golden State

Dates: September 7 - November 4, 2018

Submission Deadline: July 29, 2018

Fee: $35.00 for up to 3 images

Filoli is one of the finest remaining continually operating country estates of the early 20th century. Visitors to Filoli during fall are treated to a vivid snapshot of California’s season change. During Filoli’s Fall season, agricultural and preservation practices will be honored with this year’s theme of Golden Harvest. An outdoor exhibition of antique farm equipment will be displayed throughout the property and the gallery in the Visitor and Education Center will display paintings that showcase the beauty of California landscapes during the autumn months.

Artists are invited to enter two-dimensional paintings for the exhibition: Fall Landscapes of the Golden State. Paintings should capture scenes of fall using California landscapes as the subject. People, animals, and structures may be shown in work, but the primary focus should be the natural or agricultural autumn landscape. Artists are encouraged to submit work that incorporates or interprets “Golden State”, though this is not required.
