•    Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.
•    Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:
•    Please add and to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

•    Original work painted at least 70% EN PLEIN AIR, with completion of only 30% in studio. (no artificial light or originating from photos/workshops).
•    Subject matter to reflect theme “Sense of Beauty.”
•    Entries must not violate copyright laws.
•    Maximum size canvas/paper 16”x20” or square inch equivalent and no work priced under $200.

Submit JPEG entries via Artists may submit up to two (2) entries for $35 and two (2) additional entries at $10 each. Maximum entry is four (4) per artist.  Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.

If juror accepted, your delivered work must be framed, wired and ready to hang. No saw tooth hangers.

Paintings will be delivered with artist name, title, medium, size and price on the back of the artwork – upper right corner (using the forms below). Contact JoAnn Royal if shipping paintings for instructions.

Although the utmost care will be taken handling artwork, neither SOCALPAPA or Studio 2817 Gallery nor its representatives will be responsible for damage or loss from any cause. Insurance, if desired, is the responsibility of the artist.

All work submitted must be available for sale. All sales will be handled by the 2817 Studio Gallery with 30% commission to the Gallery, 70% to the artist.  Checks will be issued soon after the close of the show. Upon entering it is the understanding of the artist that if requested you agree to up to a 15% discount to create a sale.

There will be newspaper print ads for the exhibit and Ecards for artists distribution. will include the exhibit selectees on their to help create sales.

Artists are encouraged to promote the show and to invite Patron guests to the Opening Reception where beverage and food will be served. Artists can also direct patrons to the 2817 Studio Gallery, call for appointment 949-723-0790.

Please note:  Notifications are sent through ConstantContact.

On the day of notification, you can do the following, but you will also receive an email notification, sent from ConstantContact, that will state the same.

1.  Go to and log in using your email address and password.

2.  Right above where you just logged in, click "Your Artist Profile."  You are now in Your account!

3.  Click the show name and you will see your first image.  The jury results will be under the thumbnail view.

4.  As you will see, it will say either "This Image has been Accepted or Declined in to the show."  Under that sentence, you can click "Read Acceptance (or Declined) Letter."  The letter will then be displayed below.

5.  If you submitted more than one piece in the show, go to the next entered piece in the show by clicking the page number, displayed below the thumbnail image.

NOTE:  Please be sure to read your letters in their entirety.  Most acceptance letters will ask you to RSVP or will have special instructions you must follow.
