Regional Juried Drawing Exhibition
Wednesday, October 25, to Sunday, November 26, 2017
Opening reception is Saturday, November 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Entry Deadline: October 15, 2017


Theme and Eligibility:
This is an open call opportunity; open to all media, work may include fantasy art, sci-fi art, steampunk art, anything that comes from the imagination.

Work must be ready to hang or display, works not ready to hang will not be included in show.
•    Artists are encouraged to attend the reception.
•    Original artwork only. All submissions must be for sale.

Best of Show: $250, Second: $150, Third: $100, additional prizes will be awarded.

The juror is the Director of the Shirt Factory Gallery & Master Pastelist, Dave Francis, PSA-MP

Submission Guidelines:
Enter through
•    Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.
•    Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:
•    Please add and to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

Nonrefundable Jurying Fee:
Jurying fee is to be $20 for three submissions.  Jurying fee must be paid by the entry deadline.

Entry Deadline:
October 15, midnight

Artists will be notified of jury results by email as soon as the jurying process is complete.

Drop-off and Pick-up:
Accepted work will stay at the Shirt Factory Gallery.
Shipped work must arrive at the gallery by October 20.

Unsold artwork must be picked up Wednesday, November 29, 2017 between 12 noon and 5 p.m.

All work must be ready to hang with wire attached to back of frame.

Publicity: The Shirt Factory will publicize the show and reception regionally via email marketing, paid print advertising, press releases, website and social media promotion.

Commission: The Shirt Factory Gallery collects a 35% commission for artwork sales. Artists' checks will be mailed in November.

Each work is insured to a reasonable amount while turned over to the care of the Shirt Factory Gallery. Items will be handled with the utmost care; however, Shirt Factory Gallery will not be held liable for damage as a result of workmanship or design. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the Gallery and for insuring work while in transit. Artists are also responsible for providing work that is sturdy and durable for necessary hanging purposes.

Artist agrees to allow Shirt Factory Gallery to photograph works for promotional purposes.

About the Juror:

About the Exhibition:
“Imagine” is our first edition of this show in which will display “the artist’s imagination.” Inclusion of fantasy art and sci-fi art will help lead the gallery to a major event coming in 2018. The exhibition will be held at the Shirt Factory Gallery, established in February 2012 to primarily serve as a welcome center and showcase for works created by our resident artists; the Shirt Factory Gallery now offers three juried shows a year, bringing in artwork and introducing artists from across the country.

The gallery is located in a historic manufacturing building, brought to new life, which now houses more than 60 artist studios, shops, galleries and services. Its clean, modern design features an open floor format with a small annex.

On the day of notification, you can do the following, but you will also receive an email notification, sent from Constant Contact, that will state the same.

1.  Go to and log in using your email address and password.

2.  Right above where you just logged in, click "Your Artist Profile."  You are now in Your account!

3.  Click the show name and you will see your first image.  The jury results will be under the thumbnail view.

4.  As you will see, it will say either "This Image has been Accepted or Declined in to the show."  Under that sentence, you can click "Read Acceptance (or Declined) Letter."  The letter will then be displayed below.

5.  If you submitted more than one piece in the show, go to the next entered piece in the show by clicking the page number, displayed below the thumbnail image.

NOTE:  Please be sure to read your letters in their entirety.  Most acceptance letters will ask you to RSVP or will have special instructions you must follow.
