ABOUT THE JUROR:
Andy Austin is an award-winning landscape and adventure photographer based out of Montana. He graduated with honors with a degree in psychology from Montana State University, where he also played football for the three-time Big Sky Conference champions, Montana State Bobcats. He has photographed on four different continents and 25 different countries. Currently, Andy is living out of a converted 2006 sprinter van and traveling the country and sharing his adventures with his more than 30,000 social media followers. Andy has been published in magazines such as, World Wildlife Fund, Nat Geo Traveler, Sky Magazine, Cowboys and Indians, and more. His clients include Reebok, Kelty Backpacks, Montana Office of Tourism, Atlas Snowshoes, Kammok, Garmin, and FotoPro Tripods.

EXHIBIT:
This exhibit is all about photography - Fashion, Aerial, Black & White, Composite, Infrared, Macro, Digital, Mixed Media, Encaustic over Photo’s, Altered & Manipulated images/Photographs. Let your imagination go wild! Start with a photo and paint around or over it. Each artist may enter up to three works of art. Pieces can be 2D or 3D, but must first start with a photograph. Any Medium that is compatible with photography may be used.  Fee is $35 for up to three entries. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.  Your submission form on OJS is your contract and needs to be filled out completely. If you have an accepted piece that you choose not to show, you will not be eligible for submitting to WAM Juried Shows for three years. No Substitutions may be made once work is juried into the show. Work submitted should be considered for general viewing audiences of all ages.

AWARDS:
Cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and various sponsor awards will be awarded by the juror, along with a director’s award presented by the Executive Director.

ELIGIBILITY:
This exhibit is open to all artists 18 or older. All work is to be must be completed within the past 2 years and must not be work done under supervision or in a classroom. Work is to be original; no copies, giclees or reproductions are accepted. Hand-pulled prints are accepted. Work must weigh less than 100 pounds and be no longer than 60" in any direction. Minimum image size is 5"x7". Shipped work must include return pre-paid shipping by the artist. Works that are for sale and not for sale are accepted.

TRAVELING COLLECTION:
Approximately 25 pieces will be selected by a committee for a representative smaller exhibition that will travel to galleries/art centers in eastern Montana for the remainder of 2018. If you wish your work to be considered for the traveling show, please indicate that on your entry form in the description box. No glass if you want your artwork to be in the Traveling Collection Exhibit.

SALES:
If artwork is sold, the Art Center will retain a 35% commission. All items sold that are included in the traveling collection must remain as part of the exhibition until its conclusion.

LIABILITY:
WAM employees take the utmost care when handling artwork, however, neither the WAM nor their agents will be held liable for work that is shipped damaged or is lost. Shipping insurance is the responsibility of the artist.  While at the WAM, the art is insured.

FRAMING & PRESENTATION:
All 2D work must be framed and ready to hang by gallery standards.  All 3D work must be ready to hang if applicable. No saw tooth hangers accepted. Frames must be in good condition and undamaged.  Matting is optional. 3D work that hangs must have the appropriate device for installation.

ENTERING YOUR IMAGES:
All entries are submitted through www.OnlineJuriedShows.com.  Digital images of work submitted are to be included in the entry process.

Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.

Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx.  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:  https://onlinejuriedshows.com/Contact.aspx

The artist will be responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements to and from the WAM. Shipped entries must be sent in reusable containers. The WAM will pack each piece in its original packing when available.

Artists are responsible for arranging return shipping to the address of origin through their local USPS/FedEx/UPS or other shipping office. Shipping insurance is the responsibility of the artist. The WAM is not responsible for works lost, stolen, or damaged once picked up by the shipper.

Check with your local shipper for prepaid return labels; call tag systems, and printable shipping labels. Artists are encouraged to include the return label with shipment or provide the WAM with a prepaid label before the close of exhibition.

If you select that you would like your piece to be considered for the Traveling Collection, you are encouraged to use UPS/FedEx to pre-purchase a non-expiring shipping label. USPS labels are time sensitive.

REGARDING JURY NOTIFICATIONS:  Notifications are sent through ConstantContact from Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com.  To ensure receipt of this notification, please add Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your contact list, or safe senders’ list.

On the day of notification, you can do the following, but you will also receive an email notification, sent from ConstantContact, that will state the same.
1.  Go to OnlineJuriedShows.com and log in using your email address and password.
2.  Right above where you just logged in, click "Your Artist Profile."  You are now in Your account!
3.  Click the show name and you will see your first image.  The jury results will be under the thumbnail view.
4.  As you will see, it will say either "This Image has been Accepted or Declined in to the show."  Under that sentence, you can click "Read Acceptance (or Declined) Letter."  The letter will then be displayed below.
5.  If you submitted more than one piece in the show, go to the next entered piece in the show by clicking the page number, displayed below the thumbnail image.
6.  While you are in your account on OnlineJuriedShows.com, click "Personal Info" and make sure your name, address, phone number, and email address are up-to-date.

NOTE:  Please be sure to read your letters in their entirety.  Most acceptance letters will ask you to RSVP or will have special instructions you must follow.
