JUROR:
Jullie Gilbert Pollard
Internationally known Phoenix artist, Author and Workshop Instructor, Jullie Gilbert Pollard holds several Signature Memberships, NOAPS, SDWS and AzWS. Through North Light books she has authored three Best Sellers: "Watercolor Unleashed," "Discover Oil Painting,” and "Brilliant Color," plus nine DVD videos and downloads. Her long history of writing and illustrating art instruction includes articles and paintings in numerous art publications such as Artist Touch 6, Watercolor Artist, Artist Magazine, Watercolor, and International Artist. Her work has received numerous awards and is included in many private and corporate collections here in the United States and around the world.
CNYWS 2017 Members Exhibition Awards:
CNYWS Medal for “Best in Show” plus $200
Three “Artistic Merit” Awards, $50 each
Three “Judges Choice” Awards, $50 each
Who can enter?
The 2017 CNYWS Annual Members Juried Exhibition is open to both Signature and Associate Members of the society whose dues are current. Each member Artist may submit one or two paintings for a single Entry Fee of $15.00 to be paid by credit card or Pay Pal at the time the entry is submitted. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
To enter you must submit a digital image of each painting you enter along with an optional Artist’s Statement (limited to thirty words or less). You may enter your Artist’s Statement in the “Description” field on the entry form (located underneath the area where you choose your membership category: AM or SM. Once the Juror has selected the works for the exhibition, you will receive an E-Mail Notification of the Juror's decision whether your works were accepted or declined. One, both or none may be selected.
Digital Entry and ONLINE LINK:
The CNYWS 2017 Annual Members Juried Exhibition will be managed by www.OnlineJuriedShows.com. They will process all Entry Forms, Fees, Digital images, and the accepted/declined notifications working with our 2017 Juror, Jullie Gilber Pollard.
Submitting Entries:
The Entry Form must be filled out in its entirety, including unframed dimensions (if not known, estimate it), medium, and price, if requested. List sizes up to the nearest inch.
Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop to the artwork only. Be sure your images are right-side-up. Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.

Entries may NOT be submitted on a CD. No exceptions.
Watercolor Requirements for Central New York Watercolor Society Exhibitions
• All work must be original. No reproductions will be accepted. Works done at a workshop or under the supervision of an instructor are not eligible. Paintings done from published photos or reference work that is not the creation of the artist are not eligible. Paintings shown at previous CNYWS exhibits are not accepted. All paintings must have been executed within the past two years. All work must be in water-soluble media on paper or *Yupo, approved 8/1/14, matted with white or off-white mat and glazed with plexiglas only. If double matted, a thin colored liner is acceptable.
• Water-soluble media include: Transparent or opaque watercolor, casein, gouache, egg tempera, and acrylic painted in an aqueous manner. A limited use of pastel, collage or ink, not constituting more than 10% of the painting is allowed.
• We encourage our Signature Members to exhibit in our two Signature Member Exhibitions and all members to participate in our juried exhibitions. We would ask that you submit only your very best work. Remember that these exhibits are our showcase.
The entry deadline is August 23, 2017 at 11:59 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. Please remember that your digital image must be a true depiction of your painting. If it is not, the painting may be rejected by the show committee.
Barrett Art Gallery at Utica College is located in the UC Library > Delivery Instructions:
*Shipping of Accepted Works: If you receive an Acceptance letter and plan to ship your work(s) by UPS, FedX or other carrier be sure to first apply the labels supplied for you to the backs of each painting and the box/container. Please, include your RETURN POSTAGE.
Shipped works must be post marked by September 4, 2017:

*Hand Delivery of Accepted Works: Self delivered or delivered by CNYWS Collectors to Barrett Art Gallery, at Utica College located in the Utica College Library off the Champlin Rd. entrance, stay right> A circle drive is on the left, UC Library on the right inside the circle drive. Use the front entrance stairs >and the library elevator OR the back door used for deliveries off the main street parking lot. It will be unlocked. Saturday, September 9, 2017, 10AM - NOON
*Using a Collector: If you receive an Acceptance letter and plan on using a Collector, be sure to applied the labels supplied for you on to the back of each painting and the box/container, then call your Collector (see list) before you deliver your paintings to him/her. A $10.00 Collectors fee is applied to cover the handling of your work(s).
(Reminder, Pick- up date for this exhibition is Saturday, October 14, 2017, 10 AM – NOON.)
*Sales: The Barrett Art Gallery collects NO commission on paintings sold during the Exhibition. Artist are expected to handle their own sales responsibilities. Artist's contact information will be listed on the exhibition ID cards.
