IFA is seeking artworks created in all media that address ideas regarding protest. Style and materials can range from conventional to cutting-edge, limited only by the artist’s creativity. IFA is not accepting video art or time-based works for this juried exhibit.

Juror: Stephen Fisher
Stephen Fisher earned a B.F.A. in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University (1976) and an M.F.A. in printmaking from Yale University (1981). He currently teaches at Rhode Island College in Providence as a Professor of Art where he specializes in printmaking and drawing, and aspires to the title of “Chief Printmaking Wizard”. Fisher’s work has been exhibited in a variety of national and, occasionally, international venues and earned numerous awards in a wide range of competitions. His drawings and prints can be found in numerous public, corporate and private collections. Public recognition of Fisher’s efforts includes a regional N.E.A. Fellowship, 3 Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Fellowships and a Graphic Media Achievement Award from American Artist Magazine.

The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. PST, Sunday, September 3rd, 2017.

Entering Your Images:
•    Entry form must be filled out in its entirety.  List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up.
•    Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi.  Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.  Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be found at:  www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx.  If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here:  https://onlinejuriedshows.com/Contact.aspx
•    Please add Services@OnlineJuriedShows.com and Manager@OnlineJuriedShows.com to your safe senders list to ensure notifications are received.

The entry fee is $50 for up to three (3) images.  Each additional image is $10 per image.  All entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.  Acceptance is not guaranteed.
•    All work will be juried using the online images submitted by artists.
•    All work must be original.
•    All work must be for sale.  IFA takes a 30% commission on all sales.
•    The submitting artist must be at least 18 years old.
•    Work must have been completed in the last 3 years.
•    All work must arrive ready to install including any special instructions for hanging.
•    Artwork can weigh no more than 40 pounds and must fit through an average door.
•    Work received must be accurately represented by images submitted online.
•    The IFA Membership and Directors are not eligible to submit artwork.
•    Artists are responsible for insuring their own work if they choose.

Notification of the juror’s selection will be sent to all participating artists in the first week of October.

Instructions for delivery of accepted work to Imago Gallery (IFA), 36 Market Street, Warren, Rhode Island  02885.

•    All hand-delivered artwork must be dropped off at Imago Gallery from noon - 8pm on either Friday, October 27th, or Saturday, October 28th, 2017.
•    All shipped artwork must arrive between Thursday, October 26th and Saturday, October 28th, 2017. To ensure deliver please use UPS exclusively, not Fedex or US Postal Service.
•    All shipped work must have a return address in the continental United States.
•    No glass please!  You must use plexiglass.
•    Please don’t use popcorn packaging.
•    All shipped artwork must include a pre-paid return shipping label.  Unsold artwork
•    Cannot be returned at the end of the exhibit unless the artist has provided return postage.
•    If a pre-paid shipping label is not provided to return your artwork to you, the work will become the property of IFA and considered a contribution by the artist.  It is an artist’s responsibility to ensure return of his/her work.

The exhibition closes on December 3rd, at 3pm.

•    Hand-delivered work can be picked up at Imago Gallery on Thursday, Dec 7th, from 4 to 8pm, or Friday, Dec 8th, from noon to 8 PM, or on Saturday, Dec 9th, from noon to 8pm.
•    Shipped artwork will be securely re-packaged and returned during the 2nd week of December, 2017.
