JURIED SHOW 2017 PROSPECTUS
Eligibility: You must be one of the artists who entered and was accepted to participate in the two-day Back Bay Display Show & Sale in order to enter this Back Bay Juried Show.
Entry: Entry opens May 5, 2017. Last day deadline to enter – June 21, 2017. You may enter up to two images with no entry fee. You may enter three additional images at $15.00 each (5 total images). Go to OnlineJuriedShows.com to enter. All entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
Requirements: Original plein air paintings only. Original means your own concept, design and work, not done in a workshop or under the instruction or supervision of another. Plein air means completed 80 percent at the outdoor subject matter location. (Twenty percent studio touch-up is allowed.) Paintings may be any medium, i.e., oil, acrylic, water color, pastel. No prints or giclees. Canvas or panel size: 6 x 12 to 14 x 18 or square inch equivalent. All paintings juried in to the show must be framed, backed with a black or brown dust cover, and ready to hang with d-rings and wire.
The subject matter must be the Newport Back Bay or one of the O.C. Parks. No exceptions. Do not confuse the O.C. Parks with the state or local parks. If you are unsure if a location is an O.C. Park, go to the O.C. Parks website where there is a list of all locations under the auspices of the O.C. Parks Department.
The Show: Sixty (60) paintings will be juried in to the show. Juror: Gil Dellinger. Accepted paintings must be delivered Friday, July 7, 2017 to the Muth Interpretive Center Conference Room between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. The paintings will be on display and for sale in the Muth Center Theater room from July 8 through July 14, as well as for sale on www.DailyBrushwork.com. The artists’ reception and awards presentation is Friday evening, July 14, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Juried Awards: Generous sponsor and cash awards: 1st Place $1000; 2nd Place $750; 3d Place $525; 5 Honorable Mentions at $250; Artist’s Choice $125.

Entering Your Images:
• Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
• Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.
