From the mountains and redwoods to the river mouths and sweet surf and sand spots, rocky tide pools, bird filled lagoons and sloughs to crashing waves. Residents enjoy the beauty of our preserved State Parks, Land Trust Reserves and picturesque city and county parks. We are rich in history and historical landmarks from the Santa Cruz Mission, historic churches and California houses to the Boardwalk and art-deco Rio Theater. Our musical culture abounds in the Santa Cruz Symphony, Cabrillo Music Festival, Kuumbwa Jazz Center and our 60's Catalyst, from the Santa Cruz Ballet to the Derby Girls.
