CALL FOR ENTRY
Visions of the Caribbean
The Caribbean American Advancement Foundation in coordination with Caribbean American Heritage Month (June) presents a showcase of artwork that represents the culture, landscape and people of the Caribbean. All of Caribbean heritage and supporters of the Caribbean are welcome to apply. We also encourage young artists 17 and younger.
Submissions must be a representation of works in the Caribbean or the Caribbean in America. All works must be original artwork. All 2D and 3D media including but not limited to photography, collage, sculpture and digital art. All hanging works must be ready to hang with the correct strength wire in place (no saw tooth or other types of hangers.) Works on paper must be framed.
ENTRY FEE
$20.00 for up to five (5) images. Entry Fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

Wednesday, May 1, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
GUIDELINES FOR ENTERING YOUR IMAGES
Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. Only entries submitted through the Online Juried Shows website will be accepted. Late entries are not accepted and will be automatically rejected by the website. The entry fee ($20) will be processed at time of submission via Online Juried Shows. Submissions without payment will not be accepted.
If your artwork or images are accepted into the exhibition, you will be expected to upload a one-page artist bio and short statement about your work, to the Online Juried Show website. Instructions will be sent to you at that time.
SIZE AND WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
48 inches (4’) is the maximum width for work. Each piece must weigh less than 50 pounds
PREPARATION OF ARTIST ENTRIES
All selected images must be technically proficient. Also, please remember for photography submissions the concept CLEP: C-composition, L-lighting, E-exposure, P-placement/perspective.
SELECTION PROCESS
Artwork will be selected from the images submitted online.
SALES
All works may be for sale or not for sale (NFS). If a work is sold the artist retains 75% of the selling price. 25% of the sales price will be retained by the Caribbean American Advancement Foundation.
