Exhibit Description: This exhibition is a joint project of MBPAPA and the Natividad Medical Foundation.
Landscapes and Seascapes of all kinds are acceptable, as long as they are plein air work or plein air inspired studio work.
There is no size limit, but all paintings must be properly framed without hanging wire since the exhibition will be hung with locking devices. Canvas wrap is not accepted. All submitted photos of the paintings must be a true representation of the artwork.
Eligibility: MBPAPA members who have paid their 2017 dues.
Image Submission: This is a juried exhibit. Each artist may submit a maximum of three digital images for jurying. MBPAPA members will submit digital images of their works to www.OnlineJuriedShows.com for the jury selection process. Fees: Entry fee is $35 for 3 entries. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
All paintings must be for sale, with 70%of the sales revenue going to the artist and 30% going to the Natividad Medical Foundation. Any sold piece during the duration of the exhibit can be replaced by the artist with a painting of the same size.
Entering Your Images: Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. Location: This exhibit will be hosted by Natividad Medical Foundation and will be hung on the second floor of Natividad Medical Center, near the Foundation offices. The show will hang for approximately one year.
Calendar:
Submission of digital images to onlinejuriedshows.com -- January 14 through February 22, 2017. No entries will be accepted after 11:59 P.M. PST on February 21, 2017.
Notification of acceptance --- March 3rd, 2017
Delivery of accepted paintings
There are still some details about the delivery of the accepted art to be determined. The details will be added to the prospectus or emailed to the general membership as soon as they are available. The Foundation is hosting a special donor event at the Corral de Tierra Country Club this year and would like to display the accepted paintings prior to the sit down dinner. Afterwards the paintings will hang at the regular Foundation exhibit space on the second floor of Building 3. The paintings will remain there for about a year.
