La Jolla Art Association
All the World’s a Stage 2017

PRESENTS THE JURIED EXHIBITION
“ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE”
FEBRUARY 26 THROUGH MARCH 12, 2017

Andrea Gaye, Juror
Original Oil Paintings; Landscape/Figurative
A painter since childhood, Andrea Gaye has exhibited extensively in America, in England (Brighton and London) and France (Paris). Art education includes the Brighton School of Art, a year of independent study in Paris, and twelve years as Assistant to the renowned Spanish artist/teacher Sebastian Capella. Workshops include John Asaro, Ned Mueller, Ovanes Berberian, Herb Olds and Carolyn Anderson.  An avid traveler, Andrea loves to paint finished landscapes en plein air, while using her camera and quick sketches to inspire larger paintings in her studio. Her figurative work includes casual portraits of children at play, nude studies, and colorful scenes of daily life in the countries in Latin America and Europe that she visits. All paintings are in oil on linen canvas.
