Exhibition Details
Come paint the beautiful and historic capital of Virginia! Home of the James River, public gardens, and historic architecture and interiors. There are endless subjects to be painted in Richmond.
Eligibility
Artists entering must be 18 or older.
Entering Your Images:
Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. If you need help entering your images or are unable to, please write to us here: www.onlinejuriedshows.com/Contact.aspx.

Fees
$40 entry fee for up to 3 images
Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
Juror of Submissions: Clay Whitelaw (Owner of Richland Fine Art)
Judge of Show: Peter Trippi (Editor of Fine Art Connoisseur)
Categories
Artists must enter ONLY plein air artwork (i.e. painted from life).
Sales
Straight Sales handled by Brazier Gallery. 50% of the sales go to the artist. A portion of the sales benefits the Richmond S.P.C.A. which is a non-profit, no-kill humane organization that saves the lives of more than 3,600 homeless animals each year.
Lodging/Transportation
Brazier Gallery can provide artists with host families. Brazier Gallery will contact accepted artists to arrange housing.
Awards
$15,000+ in cash and merchandise awards.
Calendar
1. Open/close date for submitting their work online: December 1st, 2016 - March 1st, 2017
2. Notifications sent out Friday: March 24, 2017
3. Drop off of artwork or arrival date to the event: Canvas Stamping & Reception Party: Sunday, June 18th 4:30pm - 7pm at Brazier Gallery 1616 West Main Street Richmond VA 23220
4. Often private dinners are given for artists.
5. Fast & Fresh: (aka a quick paint) Saturday, June 24th, 2017 from 9:30am - 11:30am
6. Collector’s Preview Party: Friday, June 23rd from 5-8pm
7. Exhibit and Sale: The competition exhibit will be open to the public at Brazier Gallery from 8-10pm on Friday, June 23rd and from 10am-5pm on Saturday, June 24th and 12-5pm on Sunday, June 25th.
