SUBJECT MATTER
|
Santa Anita Park is the West Coast jewel of American racing, and one of the most storied sporting arenas in the world. For 82 years it has offered stunning grounds, where fans can wander amidst colorful floral displays, ancient statuary, bronze busts of racing greats, and amazing fountains. We are looking for paintings that depict the grandeur of Santa Anita Park! Please submit paintings done exclusively of Santa Anita Park, whether powerful horses, dynamic jockeys, regal grandstand, or the gorgeous San Gabriel Mountains – the subject matter is your choice!

MEDIUM & DIMENSIONS

Only original paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel, or acrylic will be accepted.
There are no size requirements for this exhibition.

COMMISSION
|
60% Artist; 20% Santa Anita Park; 20% California Art Club
All artwork MUST be for sale
|
PAINTING ON LOCATION
|
If you would like to have the opportunity to paint at Santa Anita Park before the submission deadline, please feel free to contact Dan Cirimele, Senior Director of Marketing, at 626.574.6393 to make an appointment. Keep in mind, the season ended on July 10 which means there will not be horses on the track until September 29 when the fall season begins. It is recommended to make an appointment to paint on location even though the race season has come to a close, as there are many sites to paint at the Park.

ENTRY FEE
|
Please pay a flat rate submission entry fee of $40 by credit card through Online Juried Shows. There is no limit of the number of artwork entries that artists can submit.

NOTIFICATIONS
|
Notifications will be sent to artists via email on or about August 26th.
|
ARTWORK DROP-OFF
|
Monday, September 26, 2016; 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
at Santa Anita Park.
*There will not be any shipping for this exhibition.

PREPARING PAINTINGS
|
All paintings must be wired for hanging. Please label the back of paintings with your name, title of the artwork, medium, dimensions, and price.
