Exhibit Location:
The Discover Portsmouth Center in the heart of the historic seacoast of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The gallery is elegantly situated on the ground floor of an historic building which once was the main library. It is known for the high caliber of the exhibitions displayed throughout the year. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance for the many visitors who come to the center for information, and for residents who are aware of the high quality art shown there. The gallery is open seven days a week from 10 until 5 and is knowledgeably staffed.
Events:
In addition to the opening reception and gallery talk, there will be pastel demonstrations during the time the exhibit is on display. This is part of the mission of the Pastel Society of New Hampshire to educate the public about the pastel medium. Lectures and a “paint around” are being discussed as further attractions.
Liability:
All reasonable care will be taken for all work. However, neither The Pastel Society of New Hampshire nor Discover Portsmouth Center Gallery will be responsible for loss or damage to paintings. The entry form and payment for this exhibition constitutes an agreement with the above. We recommend artists carry their own insurance.
Thank you for entering the Pastel Society of New Hampshire’s 8th Annual National Juried Exhibition. Your interest in and support of pastels as a medium is greatly appreciated.
