Jim McVicker
Awards Juror
Workshop Instructor

Jim McVicker became a full time artist and moved to Eureka, California in 1974 when he was 24 years old. This was after his enchantment with and study of French landscape paintings and classes in drawing and painting. He was drawn to this area of California by the beauty, the art community and the chance to live a quieter more rural life. He met and worked with several accomplished artists, painting landscapes every day on location, or painting in the studio always working directly from still life set-ups or models. From 1977 to the present, Jim has had numerous solo exhibits and participated in over 30 group shows winning and impressive number of awards.
