Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th is an integral part of the vibrant North Park Arts and Culture District of San Diego. Established in 2015 by Kate Ashton, the gallery hosts monthly juried exhibitions, in addition to offering art classes, working studio space, and professional development for artists. DESCRIPTION
|
This is a call to artists who are members of OMA Artist Alliance to submit entries for Artist Alliance at Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th: Healing the Divide an exhibition to take place at the Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th.
This exhibition is not themed, but you are encouraged to submit work that represents your interpretation of the title “Healing the Divide”.
Submissions will be accepted exclusively through OnlineJuriedShows.com (OJS).

JUROR
|
Artwork will be juried by Wendy Wilson-Gibson, Executive Director, Bonita Museum & Cultural Center.
Wendy Wilson-Gibson is currently the Director of the Bonita Museum & Cultural Center in South Bay San Diego. Wendy is the past director of the Escondido Municipal Gallery (EAP) as well as serving on the museum board at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. From concept to final product Wendy enjoys curating exhibitions and collaborating with artists, foundations, non-profits, and museums to conceptualize exhibitions and explore visitor experience. As a curator, she has conceptualized, funded, and produced multi-media installations and events exploring contemporary, new media, and theory-based subject matter as well as exhibitions exploring the history of personal collections and the relationships involved in art creation. ENTRY FEE
|
$20 for first image, $10 for each thereafter
Thank you for being a part of OMA. Your submission fees (less Online Juried Shows listing fees) and membership dues go toward supporting the museum’s exhibitions and educational programming.

ELIGIBILITY
|
Artists must be current OMA member with the Artist Alliance affiliate membership. Artists who are not members of the OMA Artist Alliance but are interested in participating in this event must become members of OMA at any level with the Artist Alliance add-on affiliate membership before submitting artwork for consideration.

ARTWORK DETAILS
|
All submissions must be original works of art. No giclees or other reproductions, with exception of limited edition prints and/or photography.
Artwork may be in any media or style. Tasteful nudity is acceptable.
Wall mounted two- and three-dimensional work: maximum 60” width, 84” height, including frame. Maximum weight: 20 pounds.
Hardware: D Rings must be installed on the back at precisely equal distances from the top of all wall-mounted work.
No cleats.
No wires.
Frames must be simple and neutral. Edges of unframed two-dimensional artwork must be finished or gallery wrapped.
Freestanding three-dimensional work must be appropriate size for display on 12” x 12” x 40” pedestal.
Artwork requiring special or unusual lighting, electricity, or unusual methods of installation cannot be accommodated.
A maximum of two artworks per artist will be selected.

SALES/
COMMISSION
|
Artwork will be available for sale unless specified as NFS during submission.
All sales will be conducted by Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th staff. The artist will receive 50% of sales price. OMA requests a 20% donation from sales.
Sold artwork must remain with the exhibition through the end of the show.

CONDITIONS

By submitting images, the entrant warrants that they created each of the artworks submitted and that they possess all legal rights to them. The entrant agrees that all submitted images selected by the juror may be used for marketing and promotional purposes related to the event.By providing the images and other information through this entry, the entrant gives permission for OMA, OMA Artist Alliance, and Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th to use images of accepted artwork for promotion, reference, printed materials and online postings related to this exhibit as well as in future advertising. All images used by OMA, OMA Artist Alliance, and Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th will be credited to the artist. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.
