·       Exhibition closes: February 28, 2023

Over $3,000 in Cash and Product Awards

 

Eligibility: This juried exhibition is open to artist 15 years and older. Artwork from other artists, pre-published material, and work previously in NCAMLK exhibitions will NOT be accepted. Entries interpreting the Theme, Who Speaks for the People, must have been completed in the past five years. Artwork size cannot exceed 48 inches. Artists or their representative have to install three-dimensional artwork weighing over 30 pounds. Galleries reserve the right to exclude any artwork they deemed unsuitable.

 

Entry Fee: A required entry fee of $25.00 for up to three entries is nonrefundable and must be paid as part of the application submission requirements. No exceptions.

 

Digital Image Format: All entries must be digitally submitted online at OnlineJuriedShows.com. Log in and click Enter this Show to begin your entries. Digital images should be in JPG (jpg/jpeg) format with a resolution of 300 dpi and 1500 pixels on the longest side. JPG must show precise image of the artwork only (no mat, frame, or easel). Each image file may be no larger than 4 Mb in size. Larger image files may have to be resaved with a lower jpg quality (which increases compression). Please contact onlinejuriedshows@gmail.com for help with submissions.

 

All artists will receive notification by email after jurying is complete instructing them to view the results in their artist profiles. Please add manager@onlinejuriedshows.com to your safe senders list to ensure the notification is received.

 

Online Entry: When applying for the juried exhibition online with OnlineJuriedShows.com for the first time, follow the website instructions for opening an account, and create a password. Record your password because you will reuse it for all future shows sponsored by OnlineJuriedShows.com. Then click the Current Shows button, scroll down to find the 2023 NCA MLK Exhibition, and follow the directions to apply. When filling out your artwork information for this show, please be sure all information is correct – spelling, title, pricing of artwork, etc. All information inputted by the artist and is used AS IS for reference, printed material, and online postings. Changes and additions can be made until the entry deadline, November 30. At the end of your entry process, payment can be made using a valid credit or debit card, or Paypal. All entries must be paid by the entry deadline or the application process will not be complete. Once the deadline passes, you cannot make any changes to your entries.

 

Sales: A 30% commission will be taken for artwork sold during the exhibition. The artist or artist representative will receive 70% of the sale price. Potential buyers will be instructed to contact the MLK Exhibition Council for purchasing art. Artwork can be listed as NFS (not for sale).

 

Awards: Jurors will give the following awards for artworks that best depict the MLK exhibition’s theme Who Speaks for the People: $1,000 for Best in Show, $750 for Second Place, and $500 for Third Place awards.

 

Submitting Art: Artists are responsible for delivering or shipping their art for the exhibition. The MLK Exhibition Council will pay shipping cost to return artwork to artists that is more than 50 miles from New Orleans.
