Stan Sperlak is a quintessential Renaissance Man. He is a generous teacher, pastel painter with a unique evocative style, a naturalist, and owner of the Sperlak Sculpture Gardens, and Goshen School of Art. Suffice it to say we are excited that he agreed to be our acceptance juror for our inaugural Online Show
Tony Allain is a Scottish based artist. He is an internationally known, award-winning painter, sought-after instructor and author. He has been painting for over 40 years. He is a member of the Pastel Society of America, Pastel Society London, an Associate member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists among others. A self-taught painter of color, light and movement with a complete understanding of his surroundings. LCPPS is honored to have him as our inaugural web show awards judge

This show is an online-only exhibit and will be published on OnlineJuriedShows.com, and the Left Coast Pastel Painters Society’s Facebook page
This Exhibition is for soft pastels only, no oil pastels will be accepted

Eligibility Requirements:
· This Exhibition is open to all artists over the age of 18 working in the soft pastel medium
· 80% of the exposed surface must be dry pastel
· No oil pastels
· No mixed media, photographs, digital or any other media other than soft pastel
· The work cannot have been accepted into any prior LCPPS “Pastels in Paradise” Exhibition
· Art that has won any award in a National, International, or Regional show is not eligible to enter
· Art must have been created in the last 4 years
· Must be entirely the work of the artist and not copied from another artist’s work
· No digitally manipulated work (other than cropping per specs listed below), painted giclee prints, any types of reproductions, manipulated, or painted over work will be accepted
· Paintings must not have been Photoshopped, image transferred, or manipulated in any way (other than cropped or resized per instructions below)
· Must not have been created under supervision in a workshop or class
· If the work is not for sale, check “NFS” on the entry form
· If a painting entered is found to have been in a previous LCPPS “Pastels in Paradise” Exhibition, no paintings by that artist will be allowed in this exhibition. In addition, any artist whose work is determined to be in violation of this rule will be disqualified, will forfeit any awards received, and will be banned from all “Pastels in Paradise” exhibits for 3 years
Entry Fees:
Member Pricing: $35 for the first 2 images for members of the LCPPS. $10 each, for 3 additional entries. A total of 5 entries allowed per artist.
Non-member Pricing: $45 for first 2 images for artists who are not a member of LCPPS. $10 each, for 3 additional entries. A total of 5 entries allowed per artist.
If you would like to become a member of the Left Coast Pastel Painters Society, you can join when you make your entries.
Membership fees are $35 per year. March to March. Your payment to OJS will give you a membership through February, 2022.
Entry Process:
· Entries are made using OnlineJuriedShows.com only
· Go to www.onlinejuriedshows.com and sign in or register for a new user account
· Submit up to 5 images
· JPEGS must not show mat, frame, etc…, and must be an accurate representation of the artwork. Photos should be cropped to include only the artwork – be sure your images are right side up
· Images should be in JPEG format, in RGB color space
· Images must be smaller than 4MB, 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72dpi

Payments:
The entry fee is paid via PayPal/credit card to OnlineJuriedShows.com upon submission. No check accepted. All entry fees are nonrefundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
Sales
LCPPS will connect any potential buyer with the artist. LCPPS accepts NO liability in the transaction of the sale.
