“Creativity Endures, Nature Inspires”

Eligibility:   Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association (MBPAPA)  members  who have paid their 2020 dues.  For further information please see our website -  www.mbpapa.org.  

 

Theme:  The exhibit theme will be “Creativity Endures, Nature Inspires” and will give us a fresh start after the Covid19 hiatus.  

The possibilities are wide open: Let our wonderful area give you ideas for your best plein air work!

Paintings requirements:

 

  •   Paintings are to be completed primarily en plein air or be plein air inspired studio pieces

 

  •    They may not have been exhibited in a prior MBPAPA show 

 

  •   All paintings will be delivered to the show framed and ready to hang --    including hanging wire.  

 

  •   The  paintings’ dimensions cannot be larger than 28 inches in height or width unframed 

 

 

 

Please note: In addition to the usual information on the back of your painting  each piece should have a removable label on the Front of each work with title and name of artist. These “stickies” will be removed once the wall labels are up.

 

Sales :  PG Art Center will receive a 40% commission of sales price on all pieces sold. So please take that into account when you price your entries.

 

Image Submission:  This is a juried exhibit.  Each  artist may submit a maximum of 3 digital images to "onlinejuriedshows.com" for the jury selection process. However the juror will be instructed to only pick a maximum of 2 entries per artist. This way more members have a chance to be in the show. Calendar: 

 

Digital image submission and fees paid  on "onlinejuriedshows.com"  - no later than midnight August 12, 2020 Notification of Acceptance —Aug.25, 2020

 

Deliver accepted and framed work  to the PG Art Center Aug.29th between 1-4pm

 

Exhibit –September 4, 2020 to October 29th, 2020

 

Opening reception --  Obviously we are not yet sure how the reception will be handled at that time. You will get more information in the acceptance letters.

 

Pick up Paintings — Oct.30, 2020 12 -4 pm

 

Please note: artwork must remain up for the duration of the exhibit. No early pickup.
