NorthWind Fine Arts Gallery’s Annual Juried Show



Prospectus

 

Due to this year’s unprecedented circumstances, NorthWind Fine Arts Gallery’s Annual Juried Show is moving to an online virtual gallery format.  Deadline for entering is May 15.  Selected work will be featured from June 1 to June 30. 

The gallery is located at 11 Woodruff Street in the heart of the village of Saranac Lake, just 9 miles from Lake Placid.  Visit us at www.northwindfineartsgallery.com. 

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

Open to all visual art/media. 

 

ENTRY PROCEDURE

 

You can enter your images online at www.OnlineJuriedShows.com Help in photographing your work and properly sizing your images can be  found at: www.OnlineJuriedShows.com/help.aspx For best results, make sure your image is 72 dpi and 1920 pixels on the longest side. Images should be in JPEG format or sRGB color space. If you need help entering your images please contact info@onlinejuriedshows.com or call 949-287-8645.

 

ENTRY FEE

 

A non-refundable entry fee of $35 for up to two pieces of art, $5 each for up to 3 additional pieces.

 

JUROR

 

Cristine Kossow, PSA-MP, IAPS/MC (cristinekossow.com) is a Parsons trained illustrator.  She had a long career in graphic design, but felt it was time to return to painting and quickly found pastels. She holds Master and Signature status in the Pastel Society of America and serves on the Board of Governors. In 2019 she earned Master Circle status in the International Association of Pastel Societies. She has exhibited at The Salmagundi Club and The National Arts Club in NYC; The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio; and galleries in Vermont and New Hampshire. She will be published in the April 2020 Pastel Journal/Pastel 100, that presents the years 100 best pastel paintings from around the world. 

 

AWARDS 

 

Juror will determine the number of works to be awarded generous cash prizes and honorable mentions.  All pieces selected for inclusion in the show will be showcased on our website and shared with our social media audience.  Award-winning pieces will be featured in the UpNorth Gallery, NCPR.  

 

SALES 

 

Artist contact information will be listed. Interested persons looking to purchase your work will contact the artists directly.

 

NOTIFICATION of juror selection will be posted at northwindneartsgallery.com on Friday May 29th
