Crystal Cove Conservancy
Art in the Park 2020

Crystal Cove Conservancy
“Art in the Park”
Spring Art Show 2020

In consultation with our partners at California State Parks and following the guidelines set by state and local departments of health, Crystal Cove Conservancy will be postponing and cancelling the Art in the Park event in response to the current COVID-19/Coronavirus threat. The health and safety of our visitors, staff and students remains our top priority and steps have been implemented beyond these event cancellations to ensure that remains our highest aim.

  1. Increased cleaning and disinfecting steps are being taken at the Cottages, in communal gathering spaces and in work spaces at Crystal Cove.
  2. Staff are being properly trained on cleaning and health and safety protocols.
  3. Sick employees are being directed to say home.
  4. We are continuing to monitor and follow the recommendations set out by our state and local departments of health.

Although plans may change, we still intend to hold our summer art show. Therefore, we are extending the application deadline for this show until August 1st, and will select artists at that point. An adjusted prospectus will be available on OnlineJuriedShows.com the week of 3/16/20. Thank you for your understanding!

Exhibition Details

Crystal Cove’s “Art in the Park” weekend has been a smash success three years in a row, with over a thousand attending each year.

March 27th: Friday night’s rollicking opening reception has live music, food, and beverages to get people in the mood to buy.

March 28th: On Saturday, the cove fills with art and nature lovers and their families, here to participate in workshops, view musical performances, shop at a craft fair, and meet the artists during the optional paint-out (a great opportunity to promote your work during the event!).

March 29th: The show continues through Sunday, and certain artists may be offered space to display their work in the park store’s permanent gallery.

Proceeds from the show are split 50/50, with half going to the artist and the other half benefiting Crystal Cove Conservancy.
